Weird but Delicious Gluten Free Alternatives to Spaghetti You'll Love
Hey, Abby. I love the look of all of these. I'd spied spaghetti squash on a couple of recipes before and was intrigued, but I'm not sure if we can get hold of those beauties in the U.K.; do any of my fellow Brits know? I suppose it might be ...

Have Brussels Sprouts for Breakfast Some Days. Here’s Why
Mira, I LOVE sprouts and would quite happily eat them any time and anywhere. I'm even quite fond of nibbling on them raw, which is something some people I know find disgusting in the extreme. And roasted/baked, as you've done here, they are ...

Have Brussels Sprouts for Breakfast Some Days. Here’s Why
Emma, I so agree. Even disposing of colleagues' banana skins on the tea run makes me retch. I agree, they have a smell and taste I'd rather not have to eat again any time soon. As you say, Brussels and runny eggs, no problem.

Who Was Lady Godiva?
Thanks Frank and Jo for brining up the possible Pagan roots of the story. That wasn't something I'd considered, but it's a very interesting thought. For me though, even if the 'naked-horse -ride' was an Ancient tradition in honour of Coventina ...

The Worst Buddhist Ever
Shame there wasn't a quaker meeting near you! I hope your path, wherever it takes you, is satisfying and helps you find the things you need from it.

Have Brussels Sprouts for Breakfast Some Days. Here’s Why
I guess not many people buy these mini cabbages. They are quite presentable though :). Thank you for your comment. Glad you like that photo! And thanks for reminding me to eat some broccoli. I guess with the right sauce it's quite good. I'll ...

Y Ddraig Goch: The Story of the Welsh Red Dragon Pt 2
Close, but there's some contractions there. 'Gaer yn ar Fon', with Fon being a mutation from Mon, or Anglesey. The fortress over the water from Mon.

Not to mention the River Avon (Afon, pronounced Avon, being Welsh for river). I talked about some of them here: http://wizzley.com/lost-in-translation-hilarious-bilingual-placenames/ Such things always amuse me.

Women and Children First? Titanic and the Suffragettes
Sorry, you interrupted me reading about General Sheridan's discovery of two female soldiers in his East Tennessee regiment during the American Civil War. One had distinguished herself greatly as a spy, while the other was indistinguishable ...

How Do You Choose Your Maid of Honor or Best Man?
It happens, though. My dad's best man (his schoolmate) passed a couple of years ago. My parents never got on with his wife, and there was a lot of complicated personal stuff there too. I think my mum's bridesmaids are still alive and still ...

Have Brussels Sprouts for Breakfast Some Days. Here’s Why
We have reduced to clear Brussels in our local store most every day at the moment, Emma. If I could buy and send to you safely, I would do so. Eggs and Brusssels. My husband wouldn't thank you, nor his digestion, but I would, that sounds yummy.

How Do You Choose Your Maid of Honor or Best Man?
Thanks, Paula. That's great that you're still friends. My mum and dad were best friends with theirs too. After my mum's Maid of Honor passed away, my dad and his Best Man lost contact. It's a shame, really.
