I like the idea of being a good reader. I have always loved to read, no doubt about that. But I got to wondering what makes a great book? I love all kinds of books but would they be considered great? What do you think?

Ever since the Carter Hall books made them popular (1841-43) women have been wearing them too. That's pretty much a tradition of its own now.

A good writer starts as a good reader. By reading a lot and reading great books, a person learns more than any tips a teacher can give. I've never read the Twilight series because, like you, the subject of vampires just doesn't interest me. But maybe, again like you, I should give it a try.

SidewalkPhilosopher, What a very good point about loveless marriage. Vital for people to realize they can back out of a marriage anytime before the I Do's, I sadly did the exact same thing as you, I had doubts but married anyway, it ended sadly, I just could not do it. I felt very bad for my (now) ex-husband.
