Ashlynn Ella and Hunter Huntsman Ever After High Dolls

Ever After High is a spin-off of sorts of the wildy popular Monster High doll series. I say it’s a spin off because one of the Monster High characters left the school to attend Ever After High and help the students with their relationship problems. Her name is CA Cupid and shes something of an expert on all things love related, being the daughter of Cupid. This cute couple has no problems in their union however, because they are madly in love.

She is Ashlynn Ella, the daughter of Cinderella, and he is Hunter Huntsman, the son of the huntsman in Snow White. Their parents don’t approve of them dating but that doesn’t stop them of course. He’s crazy about Ashlynn and she feels the same about him. Ashlynn is one of the group of Royals in school, meaning she has a very happy fairy tale future, and Hunter is a Rebel. His story isn’t quite as charmed. But he’s still a really great guy, and all the kids at school like him.

This pair sells for around $35 in stores and on Amazon, which is a pretty good price, considering individual dolls are priced anywhere from $20 to $25. The creators of Ever After High dolls put lots of cute details into the clothes and accessories. And they are quite poseable because of their many points of articulation. It’s a good value for doll collectors, and also for kids. They are very sturdy and well made so they hold up well under lots of creative play. You can find them on Amazon for a better price at the time of this writing.

I’ve shown a few pictures of my dolls below so you can see them out of the box. Then after that are my thoughts on the details of this pair.

So far Ashlynn Ella is my favorite girl doll in the Ever After High series. She’s got a tanned complexion and beautiful blonde hair. The hair is styled in a puffy ponytail in back with a braided strand around her face. She wears a pink headband to keep it off her face. She’s got green eyes and pretty pink makeup on her eyes and lips.

The best thing about Ashlynn is the details in her clothes and accessories. She has so many cute references to Cinderella. From the top: her headband has a molded bird and leaf design, because of course Cinderella is a friend to all of nature. Her jewelry is so tiny but everything has a Cinderella theme, the earrings are in the shape of tiny shoes because we all know Cinderella is a shoe girl, her necklace is shaped like birds and a birdcage, she’s got a teeny ring with a bird as the stone, and my favorite is her little bracelet with shoe charms all around.

Ashlynns dress is pink and aqua flower print with puffy shoulders, sheer sleeves, and a vine printed tulle peplum over the skirt. Her shoes are transparent with vine and flower designs all over. The purse she carries doesn’t open but it’s got clock faces on all sides. Just perfect to help her remember when it turns midnight.

Hunter is larger than Ashlynn and he stands very easily on his own because his legs are sturdy and he’s got big flat sole boots. His hair is flocked on the sides with a long section combed over one side. His skin is a nice tan tone and he’s got brown eyes. Hunter wears trendy woodsman clothes – a sleeveless shirt, hooded jacket made from several different fabrics, and long khaki colored pants. His boots are thick plastic and easy to take off and on with the slit in the back. Hes got a thick wrist band that coordinates with his boots and an a group of tools hanging from his belt loop. I really like his shoulder bag. It has a stitched together look and the strap is shaped like a zipper. His bag opens so it can hold his accessories. I suppose it can hold Ashlynns too since her purse doesn’t open.

Hunter has 13 points of articulation, including the knees and ankles which makes him really fun to pose. Because his build is muscular and sturdy he stays put without falling over in lots of great positions. He is one of the best shaped and most agile boy dolls in my collection.
