I am a retired middle school teacher, and former part time swamp guide, also a former coach. I lived in Africa for 17 years as a Baptist missionary working as a teacher, coach, and trainer. I grew up on the northern edge of the great Okefenokee Swamp of south Georgia and roamed parts of its edges and along the Satilla River as a young man. I often write about these places.
