I have paid as much as $100 a month for a premium fitness membership club. This club supplied towels, shampoo, soap, saunas, hot tubs, weights, fitness classes, tennis, etc. Even with all the fluff, I never got into the shape that I am after 60 days of Insanity.

Are you looking for an honest review of the Beach Body Insanity workout routine? I'm going to give you the no holds bar review of this insane workout routine. I want to tell you that I am well qualified to write this review because I am not a sports professional, model, nor a Beach Body Coach. Although I think I should become a coach because I have been hitting this workout hard for the past 7 months and I am floored by the results.
Is Beach Body Insanity For Beginners?
In case you are wondering if the Insanity workout routine is good for beginners I will tell you that it absolutely is. The creator of the program Shaun T will tell you that you can work the program at your own pace. You do not have to go is hard as his Beach Body test group goes. I have a sneaking suspicion that most of test group members are all highly paid actors that are very fit. When I 1st started doing this workout routine I was recovering from a serious case of plantar fasciitis. There was no way that I could keep up with Shaun T and his “Test Group”. I did the 1st 30 days on a Bellicon rebound trampoline.
If you are a beginner please do not be afraid to give this awesome workout your fullest attention. I have read many reviews and I'm shocked that many have said that this is not for beginners. To me, that is like saying fitness is not for beginners.
If you want to see any before and after pictures you of me you may as well forget it because I am an ultra-long-distance runner with close to 40 years of running track and field, cross-country, marathons, 10K's, etc. I was skinny when I started and I am skinny now. With that said, just after 30 days of Insanity workouts, I noticed that I could finally feel my core. The whole workout routine in my opinion really centers on working out the core. There are no weights involved, no jump ropes, no mats, or any exercise resistance bands. It's just the meat and potatoes of pure cardio and body weight exercise.
The reason I started doing this exercise is because I was battling with a case of sore feet caused by plantar fasciitis. I was no longer able to run because my feet would not heal until I stopped. I noticed that my feet no longer hurt when I concentrated on working out the entire body with Insanity. It was really an epiphany for me. For the past 5 years when I woke up each morning I could always feel that ghost of plantar fasciitis attacking my feet. When I wake up in the morning now, I don't even give the pain a 2nd thought because it's not there.
The Nuts And Bolts Of The Insanity Work Out
The 1st month is just getting you ready for the max interval circuits. However, I didn't find the 1st month any easier than month 2. To be honest, I experienced the runners high after every workout routine.
The First 30 Days Of Insanity
The first-day of the Insanity workout begins with the Fit Test on the Dig Deeper DVD. If you've never been in a train wreck, get ready because by the time you are done it is probably equivalent to experiencing one. The fit test consists of 1 min. exercises of switch kicks, power jacks, power needs, power jumps, Globe jumps, suicide jumps, push-up jacks, and low plank oblique exercises. The goal is to do as many exercises as you can in 1 min. and record the results. Throughout the 60 day regiment it is suggested to do the fit test a total of 5 times. Trust me, you are going to see a remarkable improvement in your results if you stick with the program. I have never completed the 6 days in a row that Beach Body suggests because I don't think that I need 6 days in a row of such intense exercise. It's doable. But I also enjoy a day of running, in-line skating, walking with my family, or just chilling out.
The longest that you'll be working out in the 1st month is approximately is 47 minutes. It's not exactly 47 minutes of intense exercise because Shaun Thompson believes in a proper 10 min. warm-up and adequate stretching after the warm-up. Additionally, he usually gives you 30 seconds of rest in between the interval exercises. Its total muscle confusion and chaos and will work wonders.
By the end of 30 days I can almost guarantee you that you are going to be in the best all-around shape of your entire life. These exercises work me so hard that even my fingertips and toes were sore. After 30 days of working out I felt like I could take on the world. I lost approximately 2 inches off my waist line. I must've added muscle because my weight was the same as the day that I started. I can walk up steps faster. I could run effortlessly even though I was only running once per week.
What To Expect In Your 2nd Month Of Insanity
The 2nd month of beach Body's Insanity brings you up to the max fitness level. The workouts become more intense and longer. However, the rests also become longer. You will focus more on interval workouts that last approximately 3 minutes each with a 30 second break. Even though I've been doing the 2nd month routine for the past 6 months, it is never easy. But I love it.
The 1st workout of your 2nd month is the max interval circuit. It's approximately 59 min. and it's going to kick your butt. Do not expect a lot of breaks in this workout has its continuous with the exception of the stretching breaks.
The next DVD is the Max Interval Plyo. This DVD focuses on plyometrics that are extremely explosive. You are going to do some jumping routines that working so hard that gravity is good to force you to the ground. The diamond jumps are absolutely killer. Expect to be to be tired and sore.
The final workout is the Max Cardio Conditioning DVD. Some people think it's extremely difficult. Because I'm a runner, I find this the easiest. Just don't expect it to be easy. It's only 47 or so minutes of pure cardio with not a lot of rest.
I bought the Beach Body Deluxe DVD set and I'm very happy that I did because it includes the Max Interval Sports Training workout DVD. I actually look forward to doing this workout and it is my favorite over any of the exercise DVDs. In the Max Interval Sports Training workout Shaun T will bring you into his world of sports training. You will do an hour-long workout that includes world-class boxing, gymnastics, track and field, and boxing. It's intense and a lot of fun. Also included in the Deluxe DVD set is the Insane Abs Workout. All I can say is that it's insane and I hate it. With some of these exercises you are going to have to learn to love the results rather than the exercises themselves.
At the end of the day it's about staying fit. The cost of most exercise DVDs are insignificant. Compare any of these to the price of a gym membership and you will be spending more at the gym then you would by buying the Beach Body Insanity DVD set. You have nothing to lose except excess weight.
