The pomegranate is an ancient fruit and from it comes an amazing oil which has been used in treating a wide range of ailments since traditional times.

The Punica granatum is a small fruit bearing shrub that grows to a height of 20 to 30 feet and produces delicious red colored round shaped fruits. The fruit holds seeds called arils which are enclosed with a juice filled covering. It’s from the juice and seeds the healing properties of the pomegranate fruit come from although some people are known to use the thick skinned rind of the fruit and bark of the tree to make a brew to treat digestive problems e.g. diarrhea, worms.
