As summer approaches it reminds me of the times I would search and wonder where I would get my bathing suit for the summer. I don't bother looking anywhere else since I found Victoria's Secret bathing suits. Yes, they sell more than underwear! They actually have a line of clothes too. That is for another article. Getting back to the curvy girl bathing suits. As I have gotten older and a little bigger I can't wear the string bikinis anymore. Well, I could but might get busted by the fashion police. I struggled with finding one that fit good for a couple of years and then tried a Victoria's Secret one piece suit. I was so happy with the suit I plan to purchase another one this summer season. Never can have too many bathing suits.
Best Bathing Suits for Curvy Girls
by Angel
A good fitting bathing suit is hard to find for someone with a lot of curves. As a curvy girl myself, I suggest you try one of the following styles.
Victoria's Secret is Revealed!
These suits go up to a size 16 and some have cup sizes of up to DD. A suit to these specifications are hard to find. The biggest thing for me is looking good and covering all my no so good areas. Let's say I like to accentuate the positives and play down the areas that I don't want to draw attention to. These suits do all of that. My husband says the bathing suit looks better on me than any others I have had. I thought I was going to have to resort to the suits with ruffles around the bottom area until I found these Victoria's Secret Bathing Suits.

Thank you Mira and 2uesday. I can't wait for warm weather and bathing suits. The recent comments on this article have really got me thinking about pool time. I am all for things fitting properly. I think it makes you feel more confident and it shows.
These look so good! :) Great page!
I am pretty sure that I will still be ordering a 14 for this year. Oh well... I will rock it like a big girl would. Ha.. I have noticed that I feel a lot more confident when I wear a suit that fits properly and accentuates all the right areas while de-emphasizing others. If I showed up at the pool with a itsy bitsy yellow polka dot bikini on, I would get busted by the Fashion Police for sure! I need to update some of these suits with 2013 versions. Check back soon and see what 2013 Miracle Suits look like. So you can order that size 12 you will be needing. :)
These are so cute! I'm currently a size 14, hoping to be a 12 or 10 by summer, so these are still great ideas for me. My current suit will definitely be too big by then! Yayyy!
Brenda - I think I have decided on the one with the wrap skirt. It is so versatile I can pass it up. It covers my body in the right places but also looks good. Yeah.. it has the lycra in the mid section for slimming. Will let you know how I like it. Thanks stopping back by.
Angel, That's good news. I love them all. Especially the black one with the scarf/skirt.
@kinworm - I like the Convertible Dress bathing suit. It has so many looks and covers all the right spots. Skirts are great as long as they don't have the ruffles around the bottom.. I just have a thing against them for me... not others.. I look terrible in them. LOL.. Thanks for stopping in and commenting.
Some great options here, Angel. I'd love a bathing suit with a skirt as they look very flattering.
Brenda - this type of suit is exactly what you describe. They are made of this lycra spandex material that holds it all in! The black one is great because it is so versatile. I am torn between that one and the retro one for this year. I like them both. Thanks for stopping in.
I love the black one with the skirt. It's been a long time since I've bought a swimsuit. When I was a kid, swimsuits were made out of elastic material like the girdles of the time. I wish they still made them that way. They held in all the fat.
