Best Muscle Building Supplement 2016

by JaneG

As an athlete I know that there are times when you want to gain a lot of muscle quickly. In order to do that you need to understand the basics of muscle building supplements.

Whether you are an athlete, bodybuilder or just a guy looking to get a bit bigger, you will have to put in hard work to reach your goals. There are however certain supplements that will help you get there more quickly.

The combination of supplements that you are taking is called your stack. Different people have different body types and different muscle building goals. That means that a stack that works for one person, won't necessarily work for another.

There aren't that many ingredients used in making muscle building supplements. Before you buy any supplement look at the ingredients and find out what each one does. You may be trying something that hasn't worked for you in the past.

Stimulants

Stimulants are taken before workouts to give you the energy to put everything into it. The one I see the most is caffeine. Not everyone's body handles stimulants well, so you want to be careful with their use.

The 2 basic ingredients that are tried and tested and which I would recommend to any beginner is Creatine and Protein.

Creatine

Creatine can be described as a derivative of amino acid which is synthesized in the kidneys, pancreas and liver from methione, glycine and arginine. Once manufactured, the creatine gets transported mainly to the muscle tissue, where it is stored as creatine and phophocreatine.

Creatine supplement helps in muscle building in three ways. Firstly, with more creatine available to the muscles, the process of ATP regeneration gets better. This allows you to train harder as the muscles do not tire quite as quickly. Secondly, creatine acts as a buffer for lactate, which is essential when building muscles. When you feel tired and cannot perform a repetition of an exercise, the reason could be the build-up of lactic acid. The burning sensation caused when the muscles tire is due to lactic acid. The consumption of creatine supplements postpones the process of glycolysis, because of which lactic acid is produced. A third benefit of taking creatine is that it hydrates the muscle cells. The effect of the hydration is that the muscles appear fuller and bigger. It also helps in synthesizing protein and inhibiting the breakdown of proteins.

Whey protein

Whey is another supplement which has gained prominence among those interested in building muscles. A new technique to filter out whey protein has recently been developed, making it easy for athletes and other sports people to include this effective protein supplement in their diets. Muscle building requires high levels of protein consumption, which is very difficult with a normal diet. Whey protein powder provides body builders with a controllable and a reliable source of protein. In addition, the whey powder doesn't contain much fat, which comes with other sources of protein like eggs and beef. This makes Whey more suitable for those that want to gain muscle but keep their weight stable.

CytoSport Muscle Milk

The CytoSport Muscle Milk is another protein supplement mix that helps in gaining weight. It helps you gain wait through it's 8 saturated fats. Although the recommended dose, from the producer is four times a day, the supplement can be consumed in combination with whey protein powder. Instead of taking it four times, you can consume the Muscle Milk twice a day, once in the morning and once before going to bed, with whey being consumed in-between. This combination allows better workouts and reduces the fat intake bringing it closer to normal levels.

Protein bars

Also known as the Builder’s Bars, the protein bars help in providing additional protein. The protein bars are crispy and chewy without being as sweet as candy bars. The protein bars using all natural ingredients come in different flavors like Cookies and Cream, Peanut Butter, Chocolate and Chocolate Mint. Weighing 2.4 ounces, the protein bars are large and have the capability to replace a full meal.

BlenderBottle 28-Ounce with BlenderBall

Many of the free mixers that come with supplements are useless. They do not mix the ingredients as they should and tend to leak as well. Instead you should go for a decent blending bottle. The Blender Bottle is a shaker bottle which never leaks due to the screw-on lid, enabling you to mix supplements that do not mix easily.

You should remember that these supplements work best if you are training hard, to build muscles. There is no alternative to hard work. Keep your workouts regimen at a consistent level and consume supplements that have natural ingredients.

I hope you found best muscle building supplements 2016 useful.
