Best TV under $300 in 2012

by top10best

What is the best TV under $300 in 2012? If you go by the marketing hype of most brands, they all have the best offer for your money. See which really are the best for the money.

Describing something as being the best can be a little subjective. If you're a fan of a particular brand, that can impact your judgment. If you have had good experience with products from your early years, you will likely recommend the brand you're familiar with. The same goes for those trying to find the best TV.

One of the most important things to look out for when choosing a consumer device like a TV set is to look at your budget. The more you're willing to spend, the more you will likely get with regards to features and size. Most manufacturers offer similar products, with size and the number of ports determining the price tag.

Philips Magnavox - 32MF301B

This is fine product from Philips. It comes with a VGA input that allows you to use your TV screen as a computer monitor. This is very practical for those who don't want to buy another flat screen computer monitor. It also comes with USB port and two HDMI ports. It is lightweight at 17 pounds which will be a factor that some might want to take into consideration if they plan to attach it to a wall. It is also only 3.8 inches deep.

It is not full high-definition at only 720p. It comes with a great 3D digital comb filter. If you don't understand what that is, you have nothing to worry about because it has to do with image quality. This filter helps avoid what is commonly known Dot crawl. Anytime you see 3D digital comb filter, just think of it as a feature that allows better image quality.

COBY - TFTV3225 television

For those who are bent on spending nothing more than $300 on a TV, this COBY is another brand that you might want to look into. It is only 4.2 inches deep and comes with a VGA input, 2 HDMI ports, and 3D digital comb filter for better image quality. It is not full HD at 720p. If you're wondering what full high-definition is, all you need to look for is the 1080p.

That said, most users will not perceive the difference. This device is also equipped to work with digital channels. Another thing that will appeal to some about this product is that it doesn't come with the fully rectangular design that you see with most flat screen TVs. This one has got a nice curve that makes it a little more appealing.

Toshiba - 32DT2U LCD TV

Have you ever wondered what a 176° viewing angle will feel like? If that is the case, you can check out this Toshiba LCD TV that sells for $280 at most online retailers.

The viewing angle is not the only good point about this product; it also comes ready to be connected to your PC so that you can use it as a computer monitor. You also get the universal serial bus aka USB that will facilitate connecting other digital devices video cameras and digital cameras. It comes with two HDMI ports but it is not the most lightweight TV you can buy. That said, it is still worth looking into.

I would definitely go for the one with the USB connections. That said, I bought a fair-sized LCD TV about 2 years ago (would now probably be considered small) and since I use things until they die, I probably won't understand anything about TVs when it comes time to replace this one.
