Having Fun and Learning
Brain games and puzzles are a fun way for the entire family to have fun and learn without even thinking about it.
There are countless moments lost to simply doing nothing that could easily be occupied with a brain teaser activity, game or puzzle. Regardless of whether your kids are visual, textile or audio learners there are brain teaser games to accentuate their strong learning skills and those to strengthen their weaker learning skills. The best thing about having brain teaser games around the house is they occupy those gaps of time when kids tend to get bored. This is a great learning opportunity. Kids can pick up the games, play with them a bit, put them down and all the while they've learned something. These types of games are those we often forget about and yet realize the value in the toys ability to entertain and teach. A definite win win for both parent and child. The added bonus is everyone loves the fun challenge of brain teasers regardless of how old or young it truly is a fun activity for everyone.

DerdriuMarriner Indeed, there are so many varieties of brain games now.
katiem2, It's like Rubik's cube: they make it easier to think quickly behind, around and beyond challenges and obstacles.
cazort, I agree and it's also a great activity for adults of all ages, working the brain can fight dementia and the like.
I think there's something really great that games that involve manipulation of physical objects in the real world can do for developing your spatial reasoning, that you can't really get by playing computer games. I love computers but I think that there is a major role for actual games made out of real physical objects and I never want to see these sorts of things be completely replaced by computers and technology.
Pam, I love brain teaser games too.
Brain games rock
