Kids aren't fussy when it comes to art, they will use anything if it's put in front of them to create artwork and with the following selection of cheap and affordable art supplies and artist equipment your future rainy days will be filled happily with kids that are hopefully content to paint and draw and be creative all day long. Now it all depends on what you would want and the kids would want to do, but you really have to provide alternatives as they could get bored quite easily with one packet of paints and one sketch pad. Paints are very inexpensive today and the cheapest of the cheap paints will do and so will the drawing paper and the paint brushes. Poster paints don't cost a lot but even Acrylic, Watercolors or Oil paints don't either, although with oil paints and acrylics you do have to make sure the children have old clothes on and you supervise them as you could come back and they have painted themselves with these paints that could potentially be slightly difficult to remove off skin and would require a scrub with a dish cleaning brush which isn't pleasant.
