Collectible Coca Cola Signs - Old Signs Give Your Home Decor a Sense of History

by Digby_Adams

Metal tin signs have a fantastic vintage vibe. They come in lots of colors and sizes, so you'll always find the perfect one for any space.

If you love collecting Coca Cola antiques and collectibles, don't be shy about incorporating them into your home decor. They are unique home accessories that will catch peoples' eyes right away. You'll find a coke sign for just about any decade that you need. So if you've got an aunt or uncle that you never know what to get for their birthday gift, well, what about a sign from their birthday decade. In addition to being available in a wide variety of styles, you'll also find collectible Coca Cola signs available in a large price range. So I know that you'll find one to match your budget as well as your home decor.

I love round vintage Coca Cola Signs. I use old vintage signs the way some interior designers use paintings. I've grouped some round old signs in a line in our game room. My goal is to some day be able to buy a vintage coke machine, but that will have to wait until we can afford it. For now I pick up affordable coke signs at flea markets, yard sales and ebay.

My husband and I are restoring an 19th Century farmhouse, so our game room has wide wooden floor boards and spare walls. There's a pool table in the center and wooden tables at the side. When we started to scatter the old signs around, it's amazing how it started to look like an old-fashioned dive - just what we were hoping for! The perfect guy room.

I also love it when the sign contains a picture of the classic Coca Cola Bottle.

Coca Cola Signs with Bottles

I really miss drinking soda pop out of uniquely shaped glass bottles. I remember carrying the wooden crates in from the car for my Mom and loving the jingling sound of the glass against the wood. Just thinking about it, I can remember the smell of the small general store where we would buy our groceries. We live far away from any big box stores in Northern Maine, so that store is still going strong. And I now live in the neighboring town, but times have changed even here and the soda pop arrives in metal cans and cardboard.

I think that it's a need to remember places and products like that, that make vintage signs so popular these days. When you look at them, you remember the small moments of your childhood and family life that become so special as you age or move away from home.

The 1930s Coca Cola signs have a distinctive art form that is pure Americana art.

Don't be shy about giving vintage old signs as gifts. Hey, you have a friend or father who just loves their Coke, won't have Pepsi in the house, then this is a wonderful keepsake for them. I know that half of the garage at my parents house is one of my Dad's favorite work spaces. He's added several vintage signs from gas stations and they look fantastic. He just wishes he had the antique cars to go with it.

Quite frankly I want to make our front porch look like the entrance to a general store, so I want to put a large vintage sign (and coke machine) on it and then a large bench. Just like the one that old men sit on and talk all day. I think it would be great to have a cold drink right there. (My husband and I might be discussing this for a while.)

All of the product you see on this page are from ebay. It's one of my favorite places to shop for vintage and antique items. I love to shop estate sales, but some days I just don't have the time to drive for hours. There is always the possibility that there will be nothing to buy that day, so I've wasted lots of time and the price of the gas.

I used to collect coke bottles and cans from different countries - ever see the one in Hebrew?

Coca Cola really has been part of many family outings. But I really can't get into the new designs. Every so often they bring back the glass bottles. I wish they would make it permanent. I prefer glass to aluminum. But it's probably lots harder to ship them.

I love old coca cola vintage designs and collectibles. I'd love to have a coke machine in my game room packed with bottled coke. My Dad used to bring home those cool bottles of coke on the weekends, my Mom would always sigh oh honey you spoil them, we weren't allowed to drink soft drinks... Coke is a very fond memory for me and my siblings as my Dad passed very young. I feel Coca Cola memorabilia is a fond memory for a lot of people. Thanks for the smile and great coke ideas.
