Genealogy was important to the Christian families living in the Holy Land. Genesis 4-11 is testimony to that; not to mention the ancestral bloodline of Jesus Christ, given in both Matthew chapter one and Luke chapter three.

This is a lovely article.
I'm glad that you liked them. I thought they looked pretty nifty myself too; and I can't stress enough how useful something like that Bible, with its family history pages, would be to a future genealogist. As an historian myself, I've got some of my best leads out of what's written on the fly-sheets of family Bibles.
Those are some neat products. I'll have to show this to my daughter-in-law.
