Flowers Gifts for Dad

by sandyspider

Flower gifts for dad can be given at any time for any occasion. Besides Father's Day, there is his birthday, an anniversary, graduation, congratulations and Valentine's Day.

Dad does not need to be celebrated for being the best person and hero that you know on just one day out of the year. Here is an idea: why not celebrate with your dad, Father's Day every day to show how much your care for him?

You may be surprise to know that some men love flowers on gifts. It is not just for women to enjoy. A flower necktie, key chain and even some funny Hawaiian style shirts.

A real man will not be afraid to accept flowers or gifts that have flower designs on them. Even the old fashion type man, who was brought up to show no emotions and the authority figure. Many of these special dads love to plant flower gardens and take pride of their beautiful array of roses or tulips.

No, I will leave that to the girly boys.
Tolovaj on 08/05/2018

Nope, I think I wore a tie in previous millenium and it was a simple black one.

PeggyHazelwood on 06/04/2013

I don't wear ties and don't think I've ever given one. Flowered ties are pretty though!

Yes I have and I just love them.
DerdriuMarriner on 07/27/2018

sandyspider, Yes, I've given flower neckties even though, no, I don't wear them. It takes getting used to that "noose" around the neck: too loose and it looks messy, too tight and it hurts.

Necktie Patterns

Brings out your eyes

As a Zazzle shopkeeper (also known as Sandyspider), I can tell you that I have sold many neckties. Flower neckties are a popular gift on Zazzle. At least from my shop it is. The Columbine flower with the white and purple is almost like seeing two different flowers in one. This is one of my favorites and something that two customers really enjoyed getting.

I love creating patterns. With the ties on Zazzle you can automatically tile the images to make a pattern. Many designs were created in a pattern on one large image prior to uploading it. Like the Flowers of Botanical Gardens Yellow-Purple Tie, this was taken from a kaleidoscope looking down at the flowers and taken by my camera. I added that photo in tiles in one super large image.

The Flowers of Botanical Gardens Purple-Blue Neckties is the larger version of the kaleidoscope view of the flowers at the garden.

He will love these flower gifts

The Vintage Roses and Sail Boat Key Chain is from a vintage postcard that has the rich red roses and a peaceful scene with the sailboat on the water.

ButterflyBridge in Botanical Garden Puzzle has the patch of pretty purple flowers with the view of a unique walking bridge with butterflies and dragonflies crafted on the wooden bridge over a creek. He will love putting this puzzle together.

Men also like to coordinate the decorative pillows to compliment the furniture. This Black & White Decorative Flower Fabric Pillow is a neutral look to compliment any color of furniture that you may own.

The simplicity of the Red Flowers on Branch Apron is just enough with out being too showy and looks great on both men and women.

Give his a Botanical Garden Flower Blue-Green Puzzle Binder. Not only does this look fantastic from the outside, a binder has many uses. Your dad or husband will love being able to organize his 'how to do' pages or the swimwear model photos he has been cutting out.

The Vintage Patriotic Ribbon and Flowers Mesh Hat is the faded American flag ribbon with red flowers to celebrate our country and remember those who died for it. He will enjoy wearing this hat.

Thank you blackspanielgallery.

sandyspider on 08/08/2018

Tolovaj, This is true that you need to know the one getting the tie. I have sold flower and food ties.

Tolovaj on 08/05/2018

I am sure men can wore ties with flowers, but you have to know the one who is getting such necktie pretty well. But it's the same with almost every gift, isn't it?

blackspanielgallery on 08/02/2018

Nice designs. Zazzle is still worth adding to.

sandyspider on 07/29/2018

Thank you DerdriuMarriner for the additional add about what men like.

DerdriuMarriner on 07/27/2018

sandyspider, Thank you for the practical information and product line. When I first read this article over a year ago, I pressed the like button (as I do for all your articles). In scanning the comments, I see that I forgot to mention the Latin American equivalent of the Hawaiian floral shirt. So I will expand my original statement to this: Men who like Guayabera and Hawaiian flower shirts like flower neckties and vice versa!

sandyspider on 03/04/2017

Thanks for the history on flowers. frankbeswick, planted flowers are the best.

sandyspider on 03/04/2017

DerdriuMarriner, you may be right about the flowers and Hawaiian shirt guys. My hubby does not like that type of shirt. But he does love flowers.

frankbeswick on 03/02/2017

I need to comment. If anyone of my family or vast range of admirers [!] wishes to give me flowers, please ensure that they are in a form that I can plant. I am a gardener.

frankbeswick on 03/02/2017

In the sixteenth century flowers were sometimes given to English males, and it was not considered unmanly to receive them. However, during the Victorian era in the nineteenth century flowers came to be seen as feminine, but that was when Britain had something of a militaristic, masculine culture developing. At this time strong male-female role distinctions began to develop. It came to be thought that men like hard things like weapons ; and that women prefer soft things like flowers.

This reminds me of a time when I received advertising calls that told me that the seller had books that were just right for me, books about military history But why do they believe that men prefer war to flowers? I don't like war, but prefer roses etc.
