Dad does not need to be celebrated for being the best person and hero that you know on just one day out of the year. Here is an idea: why not celebrate with your dad, Father's Day every day to show how much your care for him?
You may be surprise to know that some men love flowers on gifts. It is not just for women to enjoy. A flower necktie, key chain and even some funny Hawaiian style shirts.
A real man will not be afraid to accept flowers or gifts that have flower designs on them. Even the old fashion type man, who was brought up to show no emotions and the authority figure. Many of these special dads love to plant flower gardens and take pride of their beautiful array of roses or tulips.
Yes, men love to get flowers too
Thank you blackspanielgallery.
Tolovaj, This is true that you need to know the one getting the tie. I have sold flower and food ties.
I am sure men can wore ties with flowers, but you have to know the one who is getting such necktie pretty well. But it's the same with almost every gift, isn't it?
Nice designs. Zazzle is still worth adding to.
Thank you DerdriuMarriner for the additional add about what men like.
sandyspider, Thank you for the practical information and product line. When I first read this article over a year ago, I pressed the like button (as I do for all your articles). In scanning the comments, I see that I forgot to mention the Latin American equivalent of the Hawaiian floral shirt. So I will expand my original statement to this: Men who like Guayabera and Hawaiian flower shirts like flower neckties and vice versa!
Thanks for the history on flowers. frankbeswick, planted flowers are the best.
DerdriuMarriner, you may be right about the flowers and Hawaiian shirt guys. My hubby does not like that type of shirt. But he does love flowers.
I need to comment. If anyone of my family or vast range of admirers [!] wishes to give me flowers, please ensure that they are in a form that I can plant. I am a gardener.
In the sixteenth century flowers were sometimes given to English males, and it was not considered unmanly to receive them. However, during the Victorian era in the nineteenth century flowers came to be seen as feminine, but that was when Britain had something of a militaristic, masculine culture developing. At this time strong male-female role distinctions began to develop. It came to be thought that men like hard things like weapons ; and that women prefer soft things like flowers.
This reminds me of a time when I received advertising calls that told me that the seller had books that were just right for me, books about military history But why do they believe that men prefer war to flowers? I don't like war, but prefer roses etc.
