Fishing Vacation and Viglink

Guest

Hi, apart from the fact that I haven't as yet put in keywords in the keyword place (I'm a bit dumbstruck at the moment),please can someone let me know if I have the vig-link thingie right. At last.

Much appreciated.

also if you see anything else that can be improved, let me know. I'm writing off the cuff here. My late mother used to be a fisherwoman, but it's so long ago that I can hardly remember. :(

It's working! The links that is as for the fishing content I know very little about it. My daughter enjoys a bit of fishing but I simply enjoy driving the boat.  BTW we visit lake Erie all the time, done a bit of fishing there, well I was a spectator but none the less. It's a small world. I have lots of family and friend up near the lake.

Katiem, thank you. Nice to know. I'm more accustomed to writing to inform the reader than I am to making money as a result of advertising. It's not an easy switch for me. :)

I'm not much of a fishing expert myself, but here are my tips for spicing up the article some more:

- Consider adding Allposters images to illustrate larger paragraphs of pure text. For example, I found this great poster on Great Lakes Game Fish which could add a bit of visual interest to your section about the available fish. You could make half-page modules and put them side by side.

Allposters modules don't always monetize well for everyone, but they are a great way to add highly relevant, attractive images in a perfectly legal and hassle-free way.

- Personally, I would not bold the text links. They already stand out through the dotted undeline and different text color and thus are recognizable as being hyperlinks.

- Consider moving the map a bit further up and centering it on the Great Lakes.

- With regards to the featured products; consider that the main topic of your article is about the vacation aspect. So rather than spotlighting fishing gear, it might be more relevant to feature maps and guides to the area. Vacation rentals could be another focus area of interest.

For example, vrbo.com (Vacation Rentals by Owner) is a VigLink partner. Try to find properties that would appeal to someone looking to have a fishing vacation at the Great Lakes, and then feature them front and center.

Hi Nightowl, thank you for the suggestions. I will implement them and then come back to you to check. Thank you. Much appreciated.

A little while later...

Okay I've done everything you suggested. Hope it's better now. Thank you again. :)

I just went back to see your article again after the changes and it is really good.  It also helps show the advantages of vigilink. I didn't feel right advertising only amazon products since many people know how to easily browse that site. But offering products from places they may never find - now that is good!
