Google Adsense Problem Also...

Hi guys! I was thinking about returning here to Wizzley to write a little. The issue I am having is back in 2015 there was adsense issue that scared me to remove my adsense and amazon affiliate codes. Since then I heard it was cleared up. I put the codes back in yesterday but my ads are not showing up and a google email said that Wizzley.com isn't ready for ads and it wants me to install a code on Wizzley. My wizzles have been getting views for all this time since 2011 so it would be a shame to not be able to enable adsense anymore.

How do I fix this? Does it have to be done by a site admin?

Thanks,

~thranax~

Great to hear that you are coming back, but you need  to contact a site administrator. Whenever things have gone wrong in the past I have found Wizzley helpful.Good luck!

thranax,

I read your three articles previously, I read them again just now, and welcome back!

To receive your Google AdSense Publisher ID, go to Settings and scroll down to the second module (entitled Affiliate IDs Revenue share: 60%); at the second entry (Google AdSense Publisher ID), click on Registration at the right, which takes you to Google AdSense. Click on Get Started (upper right), which takes you to the signup screen. For your website URL, enter your Profile page URL: your URL is https://wizzley.com/authors/thranax/  Click on Save and Continue after completing the three capsules on the initial signup screen.

Google will send you the code after approving your application. Enter the code in Google AdSense Publisher ID space.

Steve Rogerson,

I read all your articles around the time of your first question about ads, and I've read your recent, third-part film reviews. Happy New Year, and I look forward to more of your writings.

I've had a google adsense ID for over 10 years now. Putting the code in Wizzley doesn't make ads appear. Google reports zero pageviews even when I receive traffic. The issue is adsense requires Wizzley to put a code on the site to enable ads here. Kind of an "ok good to go" if you will. Since I have no ability to add the html code to Wizzley myself, the ads will never turn on without an admin.

I had ads on Wizzley in the past, before 2015 that earned income. I disabled it in 2015 when Wizzley had a problem and adsense accounts were being frozen. That has yet be resolved many people here have told me but the fact of the matter is I cannot add my ads back into Wizzley without someone on the back end.

Here is the screenshots of what I can see:

My Google Analytics code is working fine, has been working since before 2015.

This is what google says on adsense website after putting the code in the Wizzley site box (clicking this leads to HTML to add):

Here you can see I have my codes in and everything is set up correctly (since analytics is working fine):

How do you contact a site administrator? I thought they read the forums and picked up stuff from here.

SteveRogerson,

It seems that you and thranax have done all you can at your end to resolve your concerns and that the site administrators’ involvement is necessary.

When I first joined Wizzley, the site administrators seemed to have a steady presence in the forums. I know of some Wizzley writers who, in the seemingly recent absence of administrative presences or responses in the forums, have left messages on the administrators’ profile pages. For example: Chef Keem at https://wizzley.com/authors/chefkeem/ and nightowl at https://wizzley.com/authors/nightowl/

I hope that this is resolved for you timely.

As a fellow contributor on Wizzley, I respect your writing. I’ve read all your articles, and I was happy to see your recent film review (I agree with you about Disobedience) and would want to see you continue, happy, with ads showing and paid.

thranax,

Thank you for including your explanatory charts. This problem is baffling.

Somebody must have done something, because Google ads do now appear to be working for me.

Sadly, mine still aren't working. Need one of those mods to come on and repair it on the site but they don't seem to be active this month.

Google Adsense still reports zero views, also under sites it said "Needs Attention with Wizzley".

Googly Analytics still shows every day a couple of pageviews at least so thats accurately working.

Hope its fixed soon!

thranax,

Did you leave a message on chefkeem's or nightowl's profile page? The links are in my previous post to you (see above)? Messaging them directly might sort things out.

Morning All

I have been looking at doing some more work here but like you I am not seeing any Google Ads.

When I look at my Adsense I am getting the following message which is obviously something I have no control over:

"To prevent severe impact on revenue, download an ads.txt file then upload the file to the root level domain of each site:"

I am baffled, as I followed the correct procedure, as given in these advice columns, but was told that my url should not include a path or subdomain. Could someone advise me how to sign on with google adsense.

Google adsense is saying I need to add an ads.text file to the website. Anyone know what that is about?

Janet we all seem to have the same issue and no resolution that I have seen.

Take care and Stay Well

An ads.txt file is a file that identifies advertisers authorised to be on your site. But this seems to be a problem different from the problem that I had, so the problems seem to be complex.  I think that we need some one at Wizzley to guide us through these problems.

This seems to be an on-going problem. I can't see any ads on my articles. Also, I just published a new article and I was not able to put Amazon ads on it.

Edit: Okay, sorry. Looks like ads are showing on my articles.

Well here it is March 2022 and I'm having the same problem.

I've been Adsense publisher for absolutely years and have no problems with adsense on my web sites.

Looking around, I see that some pages display ads and some do not.  That doesn't tell me much since I don't know what each writer's settings are.

Is there a solution to this?    I wanted to put up a few pages because I've missed it here.  And some days I just can't face Wordpress Gutenberg wrestling. Tongue Out

Hope to hear of some good news....

Sylvia
