Moving Everything to Wizzley

Hi everyone

As an ex hubber and lensmaster I am trying to decide where to move my content to, I love the layout and modules available here on Wizzley.

I was just wondering, if I delete my content on squidoo, do I have to wait before I publish it here or can I go ahead?

I have over one hundred articles on both sites and want to get them online again without losing earnings as many of them were earning on the other sites, which is why I don't want to wait too long to have them live again.

Any advice?

Thanks

As far as I know, Wizzley allows articles to be published as long as they're not live anywhere else. There's no need of waiting for the result to be off Search Engines etc. Chef or someone else can fill you in.

Great thanks, I have a lot of content just sitting on my computer too, that I never got around to publishing.

After deleting your content on other sites, we recommend waiting a couple of weeks, or so, until Google has deindexed your pages. However, you may be able to speed up that process by using the deindex tool in your Google Webmaster account.

It's probably worth mentioning that the Google Deindex Tool is struggling with some lenses if you use the subdomain when you submit it.  I got the following message in terms of them denying it:

"Your request has been denied because the webmaster of the site hasn't applied the appropriate robots.txt file or meta tags to block us from indexing or archiving this page.

Please work with the webmaster of this site or select an alternate removal option from the webpage removal request tool."

In other words Squidoo got it wrong (again!)

So as well as submitting the subdomain link I have also been submitting it in the page format.

To understand what I mean here's two examples

http://pkmcr.squidoo.com/topbabytoys  <<<< subdomain (seems to get denied oin a regular basis)

http://www.squidoo.com/topbabytoys <<<< page (seems to get accepted without any issues)

Thanks Paul, I noticed that too with mine, I have enough hubs that are already deindexed to keep me going, I will just wait for squidoo to follow suit. I imagine it will go quicker when squidoo make the switch over anywy. There are going to be a lot of pages that wont be making the move!

Its a pity though, I was looking forward to Halloween over there, had a nice if not huge steady income from Squidoo!
