Staff - red triangle issue

Possibly just a heads up...............One of my articles just received a red triangle with an exclamation mark within informing me that a broken link was present. When I clicked on the link it went to where it was supposed.

I clicked the 'broken link fixed' and everything seems OK.

I'm wondering if these issues could be triggered when a site is down for maintenance, or something similar.

I have just received another warning of an invalid link. This time it is to a Wizzley article. When I click the link given in the 'invalid link' section at the top of the article it brings up the page linked with supposedly 'invalid' URL.

What's going on guys?

thanks for giving us this info. The link-checker is still heavily under development and  needs improvement. Anyway, currently no invalkid links will be removed automatically - despite this is already state in the notification email.

If a site is down temporarily, that doesn't matter. Before removing broken links, we'll check them again later at a different date/time.

Second issue: you mean, a Wizzley article link got marked as invalid despite it's actually online? We observed this during our tests when there was heavy traffic involves at the same time ... I thought we had it foxed by now :-(

Yes, on the second issue, it is and has always been online. It was also online when I clicked the link in the 'invalid link' info section. It opened when the link was clicked.
