Free Backlinks with Social Monkee

If you are an internet marketer, you probably know that the two main elements of making money in this business are 1) writing keyword driven articles and 2) backlinking those articles. Of course, like many things in life it's not as simple as that. You will find many-a-guru who will tell you the "right" way to write content and the "right" way to build backlinks.

What it comes down to is this: you are going to have to try out everything you possibly can to forge your own way because what works for the guru does not necessarily mean that it will work for you. Half the time these "gurus" are trying to sell you something so that they can succeed at marketing themselves. Internet marketing to internet marketers--you'd think we'd see through that, right?

If you're new at Internet marketing the key is writing great content and then throwing a diverse repertoire of links at it. There's only so much time in the day, so you're going to want to find links wherever you can. You'll want to use services such as Build My Rank and Postrunner, but those cost money. When you start out, most likely, you won't have that kind ofmoney. One of the free sources, in addition to Web 2.0s and writing guest posts (which both take a lot of time) is Social Monkee.

Social Monkee is an automated social bookmarking service. Colin Klinkert, the creator of this service, built a social bookmarking network with each website on a different server (with its own Class "C" IP and domain). You may think that you can create this kind of network on your own, but if you tried it would cost you upward of $1000 for all the domains, separate hosting, and time it would take you to build up the new sites and rank them.

The key to this network is the number of different servers it uses. As the number of backlinks from the same site to the same site increase, the "link juice" that they pass to your site, meaning the amount of authority it gives to your site for a higher ranking, decreases. If all the websites from Social Monkee were on the same host and had the same domain, then 25, 50 or 100 links really wouldn't matter. 

The cool thing about Social Monkee is that you get 25 free backlinks every day. If you submit a URL once a day, that means 175 backlinks a week, 150 if you take off Sunday. That's a lot of extra juice for your site--and for free!

Social Monkee is really easy to both register for and to use. I'd go out on a limb and say it's one of the easiest ways to get social backlinks. I've tried other free services like Social Marker, but signing up for every single site is tedious. Not only that, but after signing up you have to submit to all the sites individually. That is a waste of your precious time for only a few backlinks.

With Social Monkee all you have to go is go through the following steps:

1. Sign up for Social Monkee. All you will have to provide is your first name, email, and password. No frills. Already this is easier then 90% of backlink products out there.
2. Start submitting! You can do this in either in the members area of the website or by downloading the Firefox plugin for the service, which saves you time by pre-populating some of the fields of the website you are bookmarking. 

You only need to submit your link once and it goes out to the 25 sites. Here's the interface you will be working with once you've signed up:

You can see there that the service prefers spun content, but this is just so that each link is unique. If you aren't familiar with spinning it won't take you long to learn with practice and programs like Spin Chimp (another great, free monkey program!). I just picked up spinning last week and am already comfortable with it. 

Other than that, there's nothing here that should surprise you. 

You may know right away what to do with your backlinks. With the 25/day version of this software you can send it to your money site, or use it to backlink your backlinks. The latter will help pass even more link juice to your money site and keep you steadily increasing in the Google ranks. 

There is a premium version of this product too that allows you to send 100 links 3 times a day to whatever link you wish. Now with this version you can backlink older, established sites, but I would recommend sending them to Web 2.0s or to satellite sites that you are not afraid of losing so you can protect your money site. 

The premium version costs $47 (once, it is not a recurring cost), but you can get it free if you refer 12 people to the site and they sign up. They don't even have to sign up for the premium version for you to get credit.
