Gas Grill

by Shaz

A gas grill can be used at the beach; baseball games; on road trips; camping or even on your patio at home.

Gas grills are fantastic for grilling up a meal at home, before the big game, on a road trip, or when you're camping out in the great outdoors.

If you prefer the Margaritaville tailgate gas grill which has an ingenious design where the whole unit is mounted on your hitch, and swings to one side so that you have access to the rear of your vehicle, or if you prefer a traditional gas grill for use at home you will find some great choices below.

Gas Grill Review

Margaritaville Tailgate Gas Grill

The Margaritaville Tailgate Gas Grill is getting rave reviews and rightly so. It is great for camping, road trips, parties, or for families who go to sporting events. It can even be removed and used at home as a conventional gas grill.

It is best described as a portable propane fuelled gas grill that rides on the back of your vehicle, and swings out on an arm away from your vehicle when you are ready to cook. The swing arm is included. It can also be easily removed for use at home!

One of the reasons that it has become so popular is the large surface area for cooking on. It has a massive 352 square inch cooking surface and reaches 320 degrees in 90 seconds, and 500 degrees in just 5 minutes. It's ideal for cooking food for a large group of people (up to 30) all at the same time.

The swing arm of the Margaritaville Tailgate Gas Grill simply connects to a standard hitch and rides perfectly behind your vehicle as you drive along. There is an optional cover which is great for keeping your grill clean and dry while you are travelling.

How To Install Your Margaritaville Tailgate Gas Grill

Operating the Margaritaville Gas Grill

A Gas Grill for the whole family.

Once you have set up your gas grill the electronic ignition makes for easy start up with the push of a button. Being electronic you will need to install AAA battery which is included. Handy Hint: If you find that it doesn’t work after installing the battery, simply reverse the direction of the batteries (it can be a little hard to tell which is the right way round).

Once you have arrived at your destination it is just a simply matter of unlocking the swing arm mechanism and swinging it out and away from your vehicle. (It moves far enough away from the vehicle so as not to interfere with the normal operation of tailgates or lifts).

Connect your propane supply which can be a small canister (a 1lb canister will last about 3 hours) although if you are going to use your gas grill a lot, I would probably recommend you buy a $10 hose adapter so you can use a 20lb bottle. Obviously you don't want to run out of propane at a critical moment. You may have some very hungry upset people on your hands!

A Gas Grill Will Save on Expensive Meals

When you are away from home, it’s easy to buy fast food or go to restaurants, but it’s also very expensive. The Margaritaville Tailgate Gas Grill will cut your catering costs to a bare minimum especially if you have a crowd to feed. It’s a great way to save money and create a relaxed fun atmosphere too. You will find that your Margaritaville Tailgate Gas Grill will create quite a lot of interest and is a great starting point for conversation with like minded people.

Handy Hints for Your Gas Grill

Secure your gas grill with a suitable padlock.

If you haven’t already got one, you will need a padlock such as a Gorilla Guard BHLO lock with a key. The grill does come with a combination lock but it is not user friendly as you need to see underneath the grill to install and remove the combination lock. That can be a little tricky. A keyed lock is so much easier to use in this situation.
