If you're not tempted by the gift sets and just want these items just to add to your own baking equipment, here's a selection which are very affordable and practical. Graduated cutters have 6 stainless steel pieces from just under 2 inches in size to 3 and a quarter inches. They're dishwasher safe and come in a handy storage tin which keeps them all tucked together so you know where they are.
Gradated shapes are great for making cookies because:
- you can cut away a small shape inside a larger one.
- you can gently press a smaller shape onto a larger one to leave a pretty pattern.
- you can cut out layers of fondant icing to decorate your cookies with two or more colors.
From the heart is a 4 piece set with both smooth and crinkled metal shapes in cute silver and red colors which will grace any kitchen. The crinkled edges make a nice change from using smooth edged ones all the time. Just adds some variation.
The Wilton Comfort Grip design is a large, 4 inch shape which is easy on your hands and will cut much more than just cookies due to its larger size. Easy to grip and hold. This design is ideal if you just need a single shape which will come in useful for cutting out cheese, fudge, sandwiches and more. I hope you've enjoyed reading my wizzles page today, thanks for your visit. Enjoy choosing the right set of baking equipment.

That's a great idea, Sheilamarie, to make some sweet little heart cards (or maybe gift tags) with the heart cutters as a template to draw around. Thanks for stopping by.
Thanks Jimmie - I make cookies all year round because I get asked to make them for school, for parties and I also make them as gifts too. I love my cookie cutter collection but people don't normally think to buy them for me as a gift unfortunately.
What nice heart cookie cutters! You could use some of these hearts as templates for making your own Valentines cards, too. To add to your gift of homemade heart cookies, naturally.
The Wilton comfort grip cutters are great. I've used those before. But my favorite here is the Xs and Os plus hearts. What fun! We had so much fun making Christmas cookies this year, why not extend the fun year round with cut outs for every holiday?
