It was a chance conversation on Facebook about my problems with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) that first led me to discover Heather's Tummy Teas.
I had been commenting on how challenging it was to deal with at times when a friend from America asked me whether I had ever tried these teas.
I have been suffering with IBS for many years now and whilst I have eliminated Wheat and Gluten from my diet and take care with other foods I still have to deal with the symptoms.
As people who suffer with it will tell you IBS affects different people in different ways. Without going into too many details you will find that frequent visits to the loo, stomach bloating, uncomfortable and embarrassing wind, aches, stomach cramps and constipation are some of the symptoms that IBS sufferers have to deal with.
I can certainly empathise with some of those symptoms!
Do You Suffer With IBS?
@Telesto you are very welcome and do let me know how you go on with them.
Thank you for this pkmcr, I'm going to give these a try.
These look like something I definitely need to keep on hand.
@BrendaReeves do let me know if she does and if they help
My mother suffers from irritable bowel syndrome. I'm going to see if she wants to try these.
@Ember thanks for sharing your experience and glad to know that the page has helped :-)
I came here to do something else, but saw your post and had to read it! I have IBS, and I sell (or well used to sell) some of the Heather's products where I work. They are amazing, so when my boss let me know that we weren't going to be carrying them anymore (for various reasons) I did a lot of research into them. I now know a lot of alternative products for a lot of Heather's products that are the exact same thing, that we still carry in my store. I think it's important to know what alternatives would actually work, because these products really do make a difference for people with IBS!
One of the things on my list for managing symptoms, apart from a soluble easy to digest fiber (like acacia, which is what the Heather's fibers are), are high count probiotics, as well.
But, I wasn't aware that they even had teas, or that they might work so well. It might be a good recommendation for people coming into the store asking for help. I'll have to check it out. Thank you for the post!
@sheilamarie yes I must admit I have been very impressed with the difference the Fennel tea bags from Heather's Tummy Teas have made
Herbal teas can be used for so many ailments. It's better to try a tea before resorting to medications, as you can be pleasantly surprised at how well they can work.
@Thamisgith yes I must admit I was delighted to find that they were available in the UK and can definitely recommend them as they have made such a difference for me.
