This Fruity Vodka Punch Recipe is another great favorite with my guest and family alike.
If you prefer a fruitier punch then this is an absolute winner. It does however take a little more time and effort to prepare. It is another favourite with my family and guests and I use it alternately between parties and celebrations to add a little bit of interest.
You will need the following ingredients:
- A Block of ice measuring approximately 6” x 6” x 6” but it really doesn’t matter all that much.
- One ripe pineapple
- Some Maraschino cherries for serving into each cup of punch, and for the punch as well
- Some Strawberries to use as an alternative to Maraschino cherries of you wish, and for the punch as well
- Orange juice concentrate
- Lemon juice concentrate
- 2 cups of white sugar
- 1 and half quarts of Vodka
- Large quart bottle of Club Soda
- Large quart bottle of Ginger Ale
- A few sliced oranges, limes and lemons
Directions
The night before your party...
Mix 2 cups of white sugar together with 2 cups of water and heat gently while stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Place this mixture to one side to cool, and later place it in the refrigerator to chill overnight.
Pour the can of lemonade into a plastic container and freeze it overnight.
Place the Club Soda and Ginger Ale in the refrigerator to chill overnight.
Place enough cold water into a plastic container to make a 6” x 6” x 6” ice block and freeze overnight. (Make sure you make your ice cube so that it fits easily into your punch bowl and leaves enough room for all the other ingredients).
Also cut up and freeze small chunks of pineapple, Maraschino cherries and halved or quartered strawberries.
Mix up the orange concentrate to make 1 quart of orange juice, and the same with the lemon concentrate also to make up 1 quart. Chill both in the refrigerator overnight.
Just before your party begins...
Place your ice block into the punch bowl first, then add the frozen fruit and frozen lemonade you prepared earlier.
Add the chilled orange and lemon juices, and the chilled dissolved sugar mixture you prepared the night before.
Then add 1 and half quarts of Vodka to the punch recipe.
Just before serving....
Add in 1 quart of Club Soda together with 1 quart of Ginger Ale.
Slice up the oranges, limes and lemons into bite size pieces and add them to the punch bowl.
As you serve a glass of punch...
Add a nice little touch to your vodka punch recipe by adding an extra strawberry or maraschino cherry to the punch glass or cup. Wishing you all the best for a wonderful party or celebration, and remember not to drink and drive.
Which do you prefer, the easy recipe or the complicated one?
