My son turned 10 4 months ago, and I thought I’d get him this for his birthday. After buying this, I realized maybe I got it for myself, too, because my son wasn’t exactly born in the Star Wars generation. Still, he’s watched all of the Star Wars movies and has become a fan of the Star Wars movies, much like daddy. His favorite character is Chewy, but next in line is Jabba the Hut. Go figure.

If there is anything that could make this set better, it would be the inclusion of R2D2 and C3PO. Since they included all of the major characters, why not these 2? All things considered, this set is pretty amazing. This is the first LEGO Star Wars set I’ve purchased, and my son and I couldn’t be happier with it. We’ve taken it apart and put it together a few times and each time we sit down and put the pieces together, I get to know a little more about my son. I encourage big fans of Star Wars and LEGO to get this stunning set.This LEGO Star Wars set features nearly 1,300 LEGO pieces, and my son and I have spent a long time working on putting them together.

The first time we put everything together took about a week to accomplish. We were having a blast spending time with each other, and I thought I’d teach my son all about patience, hard work and lessons in life from Star Wars as we worked together to join the pieces. Instructions for putting together the pieces were detailed and included in the instructions that were easy to follow, so this part wasn’t a problem. We weren’t discouraged or intimidated by the LEGO Star Wars Millennium Falcon.
