You may want to keep your old machine - mainly so you realize how good the new one is. Basically any sewing machine you can buy these days is computerized. So what is the difference? Its in the myriad of features and accessories. Typically the better known brands will offer the sewing machines with the most features at the best price.
The best way to decide on your purchase is to compare different models in detail, and choose two or three that appeal to you - then go to a sewing center and test them out. If you buy from the sewing center many times they will offer free classes on how to use it, or sometimes in-house service. But many times the best deals can be found online. Its your choice where you buy, but I've listed a few computerized sewing machines here that offer lots of options for their price range. If you care to read you may just find one perfect for you.
Have You Used A Computerized Sewing Machine? What Is Your Opinion?
I think you do, you'd use it. Enjoy your purchase, I'm excited for you!
Thanks for your comment Telesto. I still have my grandmother's sewing machine. And I still use it. But I definitely need some modern options.
Thank you Fitz charming. I don't have a sewing machine at the moment (and am not sure I really need one) but this is really interesting. We've come a long way since the one my grandmother had.
I definitely need one. That's what led me to do some research. I'm going with a machine that handles quilting. Thanks for visiting AbbyFitz
Oh How I wish I needed a new sewing machine. The one I have is an older version of the Brother sewing machine here. It's great and easy to use. I'm sure the updated one would be as good.
I wish I could have one with an embroidery feature. I like to think that a spanking new machine would make me more productive with my sewing. I can hope, right?
