Personalized Snow Globes

A snow globe kit gives you everything you need to create a personalized globe, but you can also make one yourself using items you already have on hand.  You can make one with your kids using leftover jars of baby food or pasta sauce.

If you want to give it as a gift, I'd recommend using a Mason Jar.  You can cover the top of the jar with fabric and a ribbon to dress it up a bit.

• Jar
• Water
• Glycerin
• Glue Gun
• Glitter
• Figurines or other waterproof items

How to Make a Snow Globe

1. Start with a clean jar
2. Glue your figurine to the inside of the cover. 
3. Fill your jar about 3/4 full with water
4. Add glycerin to the jar
5. Add glitter to the water/glycerin mixture
6. Use your glue gun to place some glue around the inside of the lid so that when you shake it you won't have any leaks.
7. Screw the lid onto the jar. 
8. Flip the jar over and enjoy!
