Vacation Planning When Taking Your Pet Along

When planning a vacation for the family, there is one member who needs to be cared for. Many hotels continue to not be pet friendly. New York City is one of those destinations where the accommodations are wonderful, and the attractions are endless, but one where hotels are slowly becoming pet friendly..

There are pet friendly hotels in New York which are not only pet friendly, but they also pamper their furry guests.

There are numerous hotels which are pet friendly. Most will allow up to two canine friends without any weight restrictions.

It is also recommended that you ask if your particular breed is permitted. Most hotels require guests to inquire about other pets, including felines.

If you are going to need special services such as a dog walker or dog sitter, inquire about the pet amenities that are offered.

Be prepared to pay extra for pets, although there are pet friendly hotels which do not charge additional fees for pets. While you enjoy your stay, you can be assured that your pampered pets will enjoy plush surroundings, and be pampered guests in New York.

Whenever you travel, expect your room rates to be higher, or possibly have to pay a non-refundable pet fee, or an extra fee on a daily basis

The Muse Hotel

Pet Friendly

Ginger-Muse Hotel-Director Pet Relations The Muse Hotel which is one of the many Kimpton Hotels, is located amidst the Theater District. The Muse is rated among the most pet friendly hotels in New York. Guests can go to the concierge or other staff for assistance with special arrangements, transportation or information on local attractions. The Muse has one, unique addition to their management staff.

There is a Director of Pet Relations by the name of Ginger. Ginger is an expert on the needs of pets. Ginger is familiar with all of the hot spots that are enjoyed by the four-legged guests, and will be more than happy to escort your pooch to the only fenced in dog playground that is only a short walk away from the hotel. Of course, she makes sure that each room has a basket of gourmet goodies awaiting Fido.

Pet Package

The Muse offers a special pet package such as massage services, food and water dishes, treats and food for Fido or Miss Kitty. There is no need to worry if you forgot the leash and collar; one can be obtained at the hotel. If Miss Kitty or Fido is the type who needs a sitter for company, there are sitter services as well. In spite of her teacup size, Ginger, also a Pomeranian, has decided that pets should not be discriminated against, regardless of their size, weight or breed. As the rest of the guests, your four-legged friend will have a comfortable designer bed to nap in.
