Review of Perdue Buffalo Style Chicken Wings

My wife and I were doing some grocery shopping at Costco a couple weeks ago and, while in the freezer section, came across this product. Since we do have chicken wings on a relatively regular basis and the wings were on sale, I decided to pick them up.

We had frozen pizza for dinner last night (which is usually the case on Thursdays because my youngest daughter has dance practice) and, remembering these were in the freezer, I decided to make some of them to go with. As it turns out, the wings exceeded my expectations.

I've had other products from the Perdue brand in the past and was impressed with the overall quality. So, when I purchased these wings, I was expecting them to be just as impressive. As it turns out, they were. The wings had quite a bit of meat on them (which isn't always the case) and seemed to be of higher quality than many of the other brands we've purchased.

The extra meat and higher quality did mean the wings were much more filling than expected. We managed to make it through the 10 I cooked but, next time, I would be comfortable making a smaller quantity. This, of course, adds even more value to the purchase.

One of my biggest concerns about the wings was the flavor. Buffalo-style wings can vary quite a bit and, while I don't mind a bit of a kick, wings that are too spicy usually give me pretty bad heartburn. The seasoning on these wings was exactly what I was hoping for. They had a bold flavor with a little bit of spice in them. But, it wasn't anything too overwhelming and that was something my stomach definitely appreciated.

This turned out to be a good purchase for us. We got much more quality than I was expecting for a good price and I would recommend the product as a result.
