Product Description: Frozen crinkle-cut French fried potatoes from the Season’s Choice brand. My wife found this in the freezer section when grocery shopping at our local Aldi store a couple weeks ago. I ended up preparing half the bag last night when making a fish stick dinner for the family. The fries were prepared in the oven at the same time as the fish sticks.

My wife purchased this product a couple weeks ago. Was it worth the money she spent on it?
Review
Since the fish sticks were a spur-of-the-moment decision last night, I had to find something that would make an easy side dish. At first, I completely forgot we had these fries in our freezer. But, when I finally did see them in there, it was an easy decision to make.
I had already pre-heated the oven for the fish sticks and decided baking the fries was the easiest way to prepare them. This does carry some risk to it because not all fries manage to get crispy that way. However, as I quickly learned, this was not a problem with this particular brand of French fries. They weren’t as crisp as some of the more expensive brands. But, they did get crisp enough in the oven to be enjoyable and, at very least, weren’t floppy like so many other brands we’ve purchased.
As far as taste goes, this brand once again exceeded our expectations. I usually have issues with bargain, store-bought fries and was concerned they would have a bland taste to them. But, they were some of the better French fries we have purchased and I would compare them to many of the top brands that are available for much more money.
In fact, one thing that did surprise me when we made these last night was my youngest daughter eating all of the fries that were on her plate. This is something that is somewhat rare for her since the only fries she seems to enjoy enough to do that with are fries from McDonald’s. The fact she cleaned her plate without a fight should tell you something about the overall quality of this brand of frozen fries.

Final Opinion
This is one of those purchases that could have been hit or miss depending on the overall quality of the French fries. As it turns out, they were a big hit with my family and the fact they were a bargain brand only made the purchase that much better. This is a brand I definitely will consider purchasing again in the future.

StevenHelmer, Thank you for practical information, pretty pictures and product lines.
Once again, I appreciate when you share a quality frozen product that I then can have on hand for when I have drop-ins or more "Tastes like more!" than expected. In particular, it's helpful to know about French fries, so popular when truly tasty.
What kind of fish were the fish sticks? Were they the popular pollock or trout (Wisconsin's known for its trout-fishing) or something else?
