Review of Texas Roadhouse Peanuts

by StevenHelmer

I purchased these this morning. Read to find out what I thought of them.

Product Description: Salted shelled peanuts from the Texas Roadhouse brand. I purchased a bag of these peanuts for 99 cents after discovering them in the produce section of one of our local grocery stores this morning and ended up eating some of these earlier today as an after-lunch snack (eating roughly 4 or five ounces worth).

Review

I stopped at one of our local grocery stores this morning searching for some fresh fruit to eat at work for breakfast. While I was in the produce section, I noticed a display of the Texas Roadhouse Peanuts and, after seeing they were on sale for just 99 cents per bag, I decided to purchase them.

I like peanuts but tend to prefer purchasing them from the bulk, "bag your own" bins because they seem to be fresher than the prepackaged brands (as well as more affordable). And, because of that, I did have some doubts about this product. Overall, however, I thought they were pretty decent.

I had planned on saving these for tonight, when my wife and I were watching a movie. But, my noodle cup didn't prove to be as filling as I had hoped at lunch and, because of that, I decided to try a bowl of the peanuts. After doing so, I found I had no complaints.

As I mentioned, I have a problem with many prepackaged brands being somewhat on the stale side. That was definitely not the case with this particular brand. The peanuts seemed fresh when I was eating them and were every bit as enjoyable as the bulk peanuts I usually have to scoop out of a bin.

Also, I liked the quantity of salt on these peanuts. There was enough to give them that snack-like flavor but, at the same time, it wasn't in any great excess. This, again, is better than most prepackaged brands I've tried. Usually, the peanuts are very bland or too salty. As a result of this, I was definitely happy with my 99 cent purchase.

Final Opinion

Overall, I thought this was a good purchase this morning, especially when the low price is taken into consideration. If you have an opportunity to try these (and like peanuts), I would recommend making the purchase, even if you have to spend a little bit more than I had to.

StevenHelmer, Thank you for product lines, pretty pictures and practical information.
It's convenient to find out about the cooperative, tasty brands of such appetizers, desserts and snacks as peanuts.

Were the shells cooperative about being broken, and were the insides not too messy with peanut skins?
