What is the Right Way to Celebrate Thanksgiving Day?
North Americans celebrate the Thanksgiving Day to show gratitude to all, forgive and have a great time together with their family and friends. They seek and give blessings to people they meet and enjoy this day along with the entire citizens of the country to specially commemorate the many factors that have contributed to the nation’s growth and thank the Almighty for the great yield and harvest of Fall season.
Unfortunately, to many folks, the real connotation of the Thanksgiving is lost. For a country which has seen many upheavals and economy dooms, it has become just another day of gourmet meals, sumptuous dinners, devouring parties, lavish extravaganzas and eating freaks.

How do you express gratitude on Thanksgiving?
Hi ologsinquito - That's the perfect way of celebrating. I love family dinners.
I try to thank God for all He has given us. Just the fact that we're well enough to get up in the morning and have enough to eat means that we are blessed. We always have a nice family dinner, with relatives on Thanksgiving.
The Hummel figurine of the little boy praying is very cute. My late grandmother loved Hummels.
Hi Mira - Hope you realize your dream of making a large Thanksgiving dinner. I understand there are way too many festivals during the Fall and it becomes difficult to keep the pace.
WriterArtist, Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I always take out time for Thanksgiving so that it does not disappear in the rush between Hallowe'en and Christmas. I love the basic fixin's for Thanksgiving and the theme of giving thanks.
The angels by Thomas Kinkade which you include are charmingly lovely.
Also I appreciate the scene from "Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman" with Johnny Cash singing the wonderful "Thanksgiving Prayer."
Thank you for taking the time to write a fitting tribute to Thanksgiving.
I've been meaning to host a "serious"/large Thanksgiving dinner for some years now, with lots of food, but somehow Thanksgiving comes too fast and there's not enough time to prepare. Because I'd need to do the dishes twice, and so on. Maybe one day :)
