My Rolling Cart sits in the corner of my kitchen.

When I moved in, the kitchen contained a stove (with a 1 foot wide counter next to it) and a refrigerator. I'm a baker, and I love to cook. I NEED counter space... I NEED storage space.

I keep it in the corner between the back door and the hall door, but I can roll it closer to the stove as I need to.

The wood is solid.... not particle board.

It looks nice... feels solid.... and has great utility.

The Home Styles Natural Designer Utility Cart with Stainless Steel Top came in a biggish heavy box, and weighed over 100 pounds.

After getting it upstairs (with some help) I easily put it together myself.
The directions are clear, and you only need simple tools.

The Stainless Steel top is a great size for a work surface. At 44 inches wide and just over 20 inches deep, I have enough space for my mixer, ingredient and baking sheets.

The counter surface is easy to wipe clean... and can be scrubbed if necessary. It's heatproof, so I don't have to worry about putting hot pans down on it.

And it's smooth...... Perfect for rolling out dough.

It's exactly what someone who loves to bake needs.

The Wheels on all 4 legs are great.... rolling the Utility Cart around the Kitchen is not a problem at all....

I can even roll it out to the living room or a yard if I'm having a party (and there is no panic about needing a coaster).
BUT
Most of the time, I need the cart to stay put. If I'm running a mixer, there are serious vibrations... the locks on the wheels hold the cart in place.

What a great idea! I love the fact that you can roll it wherever you need it - eg into the dining room or patio if you need extra space to hold food.

I really like the looks of this rolling kitchen island. It does look very sturdy. I recently visited my son who has a very small kitchen and he could use the extra counter space. I may look into this for him.
