The Laser Pegs Sets: Can Work with Legos

by blackspanielgallery

Imagine Lego sets with the enhancement of lighting from within. That is essentially what Laser Pegs Sets are. They have pegs that add light to the item from within.

This year we have a new group of sets that allow building, and they move us well into the 21st century. The Laser Pegs sets, and there is a nice collection of sets available, have pieces that light up! These offer the fun of a Lego set with the enhanced light up feature.

These are now available, so why not give the newest, and brightest sets a try? Just like Lego sets, these will fascinate both young and old. And you can work with them as an addition to your other blocks.

A Learning Experience

These are sets that allow construction of items.  Each set comes with a power source, and some light up pegs, along with the building blocks that allow light to pass through, giving a new experience.

The reasonable pricing of these sets will make them a popular choice.  Of the many sets available, and there are more than shown here, the price of quite a few is in the $20 range, with some even lower.  Yes there are some more expensive sets, but those are the larger ones.

If you go to any item shown here you can find an entire group on a page of these new sets available.

Because of the lower cost these make great children’s gifts to have available should someone drop by with a child, or just to have as an extra toy for each child, making the area beneath your Christmas tree full of boxes that will excite.

Multiple Designs in Most Boxes

Most of these are listed as 6 in one, 8 in one, 16 in one, and so on.  Use a set to design many different final products.  And, with a little imagination they can lead to a development of creativity.

S.T.E.M.

The initial find that I made was on Amazon, and it was for S.T.E.M. sets, which is an entire page of these learning sets.  Yes, children can be given an educational set and the child may think it is just a fun set.

S.T.E.M. stands for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics the subjects that are being pushed hard in education today.  These toys can help establish thought processes essential to understanding the subjects on the fields of S.T.E.M.

Fun Designs

The sets can offer designs of fun things like jet planes, space ships, cars, and even dinosaurs.  Some sets come with wheels, and that increases the fun.

Interactive Sets

These sets are definitely interactive, and soon both the child and an adult may well be involved.  But, that just adds to the value of the set, since it has the potential of being a binding experience between a parent and a child.  Just remember who the toy is really for, and allow the child to experience the full potential of the building process.  Remember, f you must constantly interfere get your own set.  Just like with Lego sets, there will soon be an adult group of builders with these new sets.

These sure do look like a lot of fun... especially the helicopter one.

blackspanielgallery, The dinosaur set is a favorite of mine. For the lighting, I'm imagining a few decades down the road famous designers, engineers, inventors, and lighting experts attributing their imaginative, innovative genius to childhood experiences with light-it-up Lego.

Laser Pegs on 08/03/2015

Oh, the Laser Pegs sets are awesome! They used to come with clear lego type pieces, now the pieces are all tinted and multi colored! The LED Lights inside the Laser Pegs really look stunning with the models are built or being built... They are so neat!

I was surprised when i saw the prices were so low. And these should be instant hits, or one might think.

I'll bet parents and grandparents will be happy to learn of these new building blocks that light up. Some of the Lego sets can be quite pricey, so a reasonable alternative or add on should certainly be welcome!
