Wood Castle Blocks

Wood blocks are a choice parents like to make for their toddlers and preschoolers. Blocks made of wood just seems like the perfect first building set.  Stacking and arranging wood blocks of various sizes allows the child to learn balance and familiarizes him with a set of rules for the working of shapes, sizes and weights.

Castle blocks add a component of style to take the experience a step in an architectural direction. Form now takes a higher level and the builder can use windows, arches, turrets and stairs to build castles, bridges and fairy homes.

A video from one of the shopping channels shows a booklet that comes with the set, though that is not mentioned in the Amazon information and I would not expect it. Apparently, the picture here needs two sets to complete. All these pitfalls mentioned is sometimes the nature of Made in China imports and a trusted brand name does not come with many marketed items today. I could not find any information on a company called Treehaus. 

Nonetheless, a few reviews on Amazon.com rave about how the kids are enjoying the flexibility of the set and spend hours with it.

For a birthday gift assemble the whole kit with carrying tote and action figures.

You could make a photo of each castle built by the new builder and make a story book to keep for later when the toddler is older.

The cardboard box is not going to last long especially if you have two sets. Make a tote out of an old pair of blue jeans. No castle builder would complain about that.
