Waterfall Canvas Art Home Décor

by blackspanielgallery

Waterfalls on canvas make incredible art pieces that can be used as home décor. They can brighten your walls or be given as gifts to brighten a friend’s walls.

Whether it is for home decorating or for a gift idea, waterfall art prints make a beautiful choice.

Waterfalls are some of the most spectacular natural scenes one can come upon. Some, like Angel Falls or Victoria Falls are known the world over. Other lesser known waterfalls can be found along hiking trails. Whether the waterfall is enormous dropping a great distance or much smaller the eye appeal of this kind of a natural spectacular feature is undeniable.

Why Are There Waterfalls?

Nature Providing Beauty

Land masses often rise many feet above sea level.  This is because the earth’s crust floats on the magma, or liquid layer, below the crust of the Earth.  Less dense rocks float higher, and denser rocks floating low are often below the oceans.  Water falling on the higher ground through rain or snow must move down to sea level under the influence of gravity, and this process causes rivers.  Sometimes, when the water descends a mountain or hill, there are places where the drop is far over a short horizontal expanse.  In fact, water can drop straight down into a pool it has carved out for itself.

Angel Falls

Venezuela

Angel Falls in Venezuela is depicted on canvas.  This is one of the best known waterfalls in the world with its great drop.  This is a nice image of the waterfall in the center of the piece thereby making a beautiful canvas.

Victoria Falls

Zimbabwe, Africa

Zimbabwe, Africa at Lake Victoria is the setting for Africa’s most famous waterfall.  Victoria Falls is one of the world’s most spectacular waterfalls.  Shown here is a wrapped canvas.  This wrapped canvas has the image carried around to the edges, so framing this piece would diminish its appeal.  This is available in different sizes, and a chart of those sizes with the corresponding prices appears when the product is viewed.

This is a panoramic view.

Wentworth Falls

Australia

This wrapped canvas shows a beautiful waterfall dropping in multiple locations, and being interrupted in the way down only to flow down some more.  Sometimes rocks do not erode evenly, and large rock features split the flow as the water careens over a cliff.  Also featured is that the water does not simply drop the entire distance all at once, but hesitates when it reaches outcroppings of rocks that catch the water and cause it to pool, only to be overtopped and have the fall complete its descent.

New York Rattlesnake Gulf Waterfall

This is a set of canvases that are hung together to complete the New York Rattlesnake Gulf Waterfall.  Multiple panels are becoming more common, and can really make a visual impact.

Canadian Waterfalls

Canada is home to some beautiful waterfalls.  Here we see three examples of Canadian waterfalls, one of which is a Canadian Rockies partially frozen waterfall.  The flowing water in the ice makes a particularly aesthetic piece of art that would add so much to many walls.  The wrapped canvas showing both water and ice and the third image of a Canadian Rockies waterfall each come in multiple sizes.

Waterfalls in the United States

The waterfalls shown from the United States include both Alaskan and Hawaiian waterfalls, among the ones selected.  These are but a few of the many that exist.  But, I find these to be particularly of rare beauty.

Waterfalls are wonderful, and these are nice photos of several beautiful falls. I wouldn't mind decorating my house with them!

We do not have many nearby either, since we have swamps. But, I even enjoy the small ones I have found in the Smoky Mountains.

I don't know about you, but I can just sit and watch a waterfall for the longest time. They are mesmerizing. Maybe because we don't see too many of them in my state, and it's such a rare treat for me. Having one on a wall would be really nice.

Multiple panels are nice.

I really like waterfalls, and I prefer multiple panels to a single panel. It can be nice wall decoration.
