Interests

Reading and writing: I've read over 2000 books mostly in the science fiction and fantasy genres but have also managed to read some of the classics:

My favorite Science Fiction and Fantasy Books

My Top Ten Books of all time.

Sports: I used to play cricket, tennis and soccer, but as I get older I am simply becoming the best 'watcher' of sports. I still love cricket, rugby, tennis and soccer and now have an interest in American Football.

Family: I love spending time with my family and my 1 year old grandson – I simply cannot think of anything better than quality time with my family.

Work

Career: I am a computer 'expert' working for a very large accountancy firm in their Finance department. I specialize in Microsoft Excel and have created many financial models and worksheets. I love to find new things to do with Excel:

How to create cards with Excel.

Amateur writer: I love writing and have been writing poetry and stories since I was 10; I would love to say I'm an expert, but I simply don't have enough talent to make it in the big world. I have focused my writing more on articles that hopefully are full of information and are well written and I do make a moderate income doing this.

An example short story:

Dasterdly Deeds

My 'best' articles – these both won daily prizes for the best Hub in a recent competition:

Road Trip accross America

Make a Brochure using Microsoft Word

Conclusion

I love writing and the residual income is a nice bonus for me – I've been successful over the last year or two, but have had a steep learning curve after writing on the web for about ten years. I know I'll never replace my day job, but if the few sheckles I get from writing help to make my life easier then I will continue to write and enjoy.

All: thanks for the kind comments! So far I've got a grand total of 0 sale on Zazzle! Haven't worked out how to properly market Zazzle yet, especially as there are gazillions of other people trying to do the same!

I, too, love your shoe designs, Simey. And it's great to get to know you better. :)
