Window Clings - Easy and Affordable Valentine Decorations

I know I tend to go overboard on the red hearts in February. I just love it when they are embellished with designs and have "Love" written all over them. Window clings are definitely one of the easiest ways to drench your home in hearts. You can just stick them on the window and then take them off. They store very easily and can be used repeatedly. 

Don't forget they can also be put on mirrors. I love to group them and make them look like flowers. Usually there are bright pink hearts as well as red hearts. Valentine decorations are the most fun of any holiday. Usually there is no controversy and people agree that loving one another is a good thing. 

I also look for hearts that have designs on them. Many have lace and others have little hearts. Others have abstract designs that just provide visual interest.

I admit it. The candy holidays - Halloween, Valentines Day, and Easter are my favorites. However, Valentine's Days is hands down, the best. I mean nothing scary every happens. There's no religious controversy, we enjoy our chocolate candy and think about romance. Beyond chocolates, there are the wonderful conversation hearts. Necco wafers are my favorite candy and these remind me of them. I love shutting my eyes and trying to guess what flavor I'm eating. I think there are subtle differences. My husband thinks I am crazy. 

So you can now find Valentines decorations that look just like conversation hearts. They are in bright colors and say things like "Be Mine," "Hug Me," "Too Sweet," or "For Ever."  I know strangers don't knock on our door and ask for candy on Valentine's Day, but I do like to keep som in the house. I do make my aunts and uncles little candy baskets as well. 

I was walking around a major bookstore chain last night. They already had their Valentine's Day Gifts out. I noticed that the beautifully boxed Godiva chocolates had big red bows with hearts and butterflies. So I would say that butterflies are this year's secret Valentine symbol.

However nothing will ever take the place of Cupid and his arrows. I know that on Valentine's Days when I wasn't dating anyone, I would always wish that Cupid would find my perfect man. Now that I've been married for more than a few years, I still always thank Cupid for sending me such a wonderful guy. 

The entire world will know how much I love Cupid and Valentine's Day when they see my perfectly decorated windows. For under $25 I filled up my front porch windows with oodles of Valentine window clings three years ago and I am still using them.
