5 Easy St. Patrick's Day Cupcake Ideas

How sweet are these Leprechaun Hat Cupcakes? Of course it is all edible and they are EASY to make. The hats are created using Marshmallows and Cookies then decorated to look just like a hat a mischievous little leprechaun would wear.

Then you just place your hat on top of your frosted cupcakes. You can even make your cupcake batter green using food coloring for even more fun.

How to Make Leprechaun Hat Cupcakes

I adore these Rainbow & Pot of Gold Cupcakes !! They are also super EASY to create. The rainbow is actually just Airheads Rainbow Belts Candy and the Pots of Gold are made using Tootsie Rolls and topped with some Gold Sanding Sugar.

Then you just create your cloud frosting using white frosting in a piping bag !! How cool is that? Or you can frost the top of your cupcake green and use mini marshmallows to represent your clouds.

Have fun when creating your St. Patrick's Day Cupcakes and know there are plenty of products out there to help you such as Green Sprinkles and Decorations, St. Patrick's Day Cupcake Liners, Chocolate Gold Coins, Cupcake Picks, edible Shamrocks etc...

Oh and Green Food Colorings becomes your best friend on St. Patrick's Day so be sure to have some on hand. Add it to your Vanilla Icing to get that perfect Green color or even add it to a White Cake Mix to make the inside of your cupcake Green too.

Heck on St Patty's Day add it to everything and turn everything Green - have fun with it !!!

Why not get the kids involved in the fun. Letting them create their own cupcakes is an activity they love to do - that is one of my favorite things to do with the kids. Cupcakes are like their own personal cakes and letting them decorate them adds a fun activity to any holiday, party or dessert time.

And remember you do not need to be Irish to get in on the fun of making cupcakes for St. Patrick's Day - I think any excuse to make a Cupcake works for me !!
