Besides accurately measuring angles it will also perform as a level, stand along protractor and calculator for cutting. It's designed to last and comes with a nice quality solid case that cushions the tool by way of a molded foam interior.

It will work just as well in any construction environment - great for pipe installations - just as great for mitering and similar. The extension is a useful feature, especially with regard to those tasks that are awkward at best and difficult at their worst. It runs of a set of four AA batteries, that are included in the price and overall - if you want a professional standard tool this one is highly recommended, Five star rating and deservedly so.

Compact enough to drop into a leg pocket when not in use, solid construction, affordable and accessible. One for both home owners and pro users - despite the low price tag.
