Animal Print Sweaters

Cardigan sweaters are so easy to wear. They can be short and cropped or long and flowing. Animal print used to be in traditional colors only. Leopard and cheetah were in golden tones and brown, while zebra was stark black and white. That's all changed. Fashion colors are a big hit. There are pink and black zebra sweaters and every other color you can imagine. 

Animal prints are also becoming more abstract. Fashion designers are exploding the prints or softening the lines. The result are animal-inspired prints in a multitude of fashion colors. This makes animal print a lot less serious and more fun to wear. There's a big difference between a lime green animal print and a serious brown and black print. 

Conservative women can wear a black turtleneck sweater with their leopard print cardigan sweater. A more adventurous woman can pair it with a red silk blouse. Perfect for a night on the town. 

Animal print looks good on women of all sizes. Prints are very effective at camouflaging larger shapes, because people's eyes look at the print and not the body under it. Of course if you accessorize, with the top like the picture above, everyone will notice. That's okay too. That's because the animal print was on the outside and plain white was next to the body.

If you put an animal print sweater close to the body and layer it with a red cardigan or jacket, the opposite happens. The print camouflages the chest and stomach areas.
