Cats do make a great mouse control solution! I didn't know about the peppermint oil. It would probably work really well if stuffed into the little mouse holes with some steel wool :)

The first thing I have found is that whale meat and barracuda went on sale in fish monger shops in January 1943. So there must have only been just over two years of whale meat during the war.
