Coca Cola really has been part of many family outings. But I really can't get into the new designs. Every so often they bring back the glass bottles. I wish they would make it permanent. I prefer glass to aluminum. But it's probably lots harder to ship them.

I don't know what station the General Store played. Everything seemed to be Beach Boys in the summer up hear. Lots of Fifties music too. And still is. Don't know why. Matt and I went to the OshKosh Fly-in several years ago in Wisconsin and the Beach Boys were playing there.

My local community in Canada had a fundraising event for Grammas to Grammas, a Stephen Lewis Foundation initiative that raises money for grandmothers in Africa who are raising their grandchildren due to the epidemic of AIDS. We sold these beads, mostly as necklaces and earrings. I bought a green one for my daughter-in-law and a zebra one for myself. I love these beads! They are so smooth to the touch.

I'm in my 50's and it's not done. So, Digby, if you're not in your fifties, why were you listening to the Beach Boys? Was it an oldies station?

Then my work really is done here. :) The whole point of these articles is to explain the reality over the romanticized versions. I live for a world where none of them will be necessary.

I've read recently where some politician in America mentioned introducing the guillotine, instead of lethal injection, as it couldn't fail. *shakes head*

I'd love to go to Paris. I've never been. I bet that's a spooky area to walk through. So much terrible history.

I went to Paris not too long ago. I remember the area near where one of the main guillotines used to be now has a large fountain. The thought of those things being connected made me grimace a bit.

I think a big part of people's thoughts on beheading as not being bad is that out of all the forms of capital punishment out there, this is easily the most "romanticized" version. There are tons of stories out there where the valiant hero/heroine was put to death by beheading and it is made almost flowery.

There are even fictional characters like Nearly Headless Nick from Harry Potter who died before his neck was fully severed, but all he goes on about is that he wishes he were fully beheaded so he could join the other fully beheaded ghosts in a hunt. Other than a brief shock factor as to why he is "nearly headless" nothing gruesome about his beheading is ever mentioned. Again, it's a bit romanticized.

If more details like the ones you gave were put in main media I doubt it would be as "glamorous". If only...

The effects of Alzheimer’s and related diseases change the lives of many families. From my experience, coping with the challenges, can be overwhelming at times. The most difficult life changers, the ability to accept, come to terms with and understand the complexity of the disease the biggest hurdle to overcome.

lindylou2, I do hope he was honest, this green coffee bean extract is very exciting, the more I research it the more I love it! I have many test subjects using it, will keep you posted.

I know when I'm compelled to do something like clean out closets, it's because I'm procrastinating writing an article or something else that REALLY needs doing. I can relate!
