Brilliant. Cork is an area that I have never visited. Where are you going to finish?

A brief look at The Book of Kells
Derdriu I apologise for the late reply Derdriu. They are very very fragile and kept away from the light. They are not as elaborate as Kells and I did not see inside them. The light is fairly subdued in the gallery.

Happy 44th wedding anniversary to you and to Maureen! It's so sad about Prometheus. It's reassuring that over half a century later Prometheus is remembered in such a fine book! Would the author have mentioned whether the underground parts to ...

The second fact, 2. No Formal Education, ends with the revelation that Cruikshank was just a 10-year-old when he sold his first drawings. Would there be any information anywhere about what those drawings were about and where they appeared?

Mousehole to Lamorna: on the South West Coast Path

Thank you! The bluebells are blooming fetchingly alongside the grape hyacinth and the white violets in the front-yard natural shade garden here. They have been doing so for about two weeks now. It takes my mind off the tent caterpillars that I ...

My favorite book by Charles Dickens is A Tale of Two Cities. In particular, I like the old, black-and-white film version that was made of it with Ronald Colman. But Oliver Twist's story remains quite compelling. I remember the overall style ...
