Best Memory Foam Mattress Topper

by sGrennich

Are you sick and tired of tossing and turning all night in an uncomfortable bed? You don't have to do a lot of work, just try one of these memory foam mattress toppers!

What is the Best Memory Foam Mattress Topper?

I've been using the same old stupid spring mattress for years and never really understood what a good mattress felt like.  It wasn't until this Christmas that someone finally helped me understood the importance of having a good mattress.

I got the Serta topper for my bed and instantly saw improvement in my sleep.  Less tossing, less turning, more sleeping.  It's really quite a simple formula if you think about it.  From comparing some of the other products, I think that the Serta is the best memory foam mattress topper out there.

With my old setup I would spend half the night changing positions from one side to the other.  I sleep on my side, and especially favor the right side.  Sometimes I'd be changing positions every couple of minutes just because it was so uncomfortable.  Don't make the same mistake I did.  I don't bother changing positions anymore except maybe once or twice during the night; I'm too busy sleeping to be bothered!

When Do You Need a Memory Foam Mattress Topper?

My main disappointment is that I didn't buy this mattress topper sooner.  It's really helped to improve the quality of my sleep.

The other major benefit I think that it gives is a lot of support.  The topper makes the bed much firmer, but it does actually mold to you like the ads suggest.  This keeps the bed extremely comfortable, but also provides what I think is very good support for your back and the rest of your body.  Back problems are scary to think about and I certainly don't want to go down that road.  This is probably one of the best memory foam mattress toppers for those conscious about their posture and back support in bed.

Setting up a Mattress Topper

Set up for the Serta topper is a breeze.  Just look at some of the pictures and you'll see why.  All I had to do was pull it out of the package and let unfold itself.  Since it was a Christmas gift, the gel inside was actually frozen and we had to thaw it before it came open.  This was probably the only difficult part of the process.  My advice -- if it's a gift, store it somewhere a little warmer than in the garage to avoid having to deal with this!

Other than that, just plop it down on top of your current mattress.  It might be a little high, but it isn't a problem at all for me.  The extra height is actually sort of nice and just adds to the overall effect of better sleep for me.
