Butterfly Chair Covers

Butterfly chair covers can give your old chairs a brand new look.

A butterfly chair has a metal or wooden frame, with a cover that wraps around it tightly. These folding butterfly chairs are commonly placed near a pool or at the beach, but they can also be used inside the house. These chairs are convenient because you can fold them up into a smaller size and carry them somewhere else. Butterfly chairs are also used in casual office décor. They are a retro-modern feature, and can bring a unique personality to any interior.

Many people dislike butterfly chairs because they think they can be quite uncomfortable. This is especially true if you sit on one for an extended period of time. However, if you just sit for a little while, you shouldn’t have any problems. However, if you have back problems you shouldn’t use these chairs since they do not have any kind of back support.

The butterfly chair covers are draped around the chair frame. Butterfly chair frames are normally made with metal or wood. The cover is draped in such a way that it forms a seat. Normally, you should be able to wipe clean the cover. However, there may be times when you’ll want to replace the cover entirely, and give the chair a whole different look.

Sitting in a butterfly chair can remind you of sitting in a hammock. The chair forces you to slump down, rather than sit up straight.  These chairs do not provide any kind of support for your back or neck and force you to adopt a relaxed posture.

Butterfly chairs tend to force you into a poor posture. However, they had a great role in interior décor when they were first introduced. They create a sense of a futuristic role for furniture, and force people to relax.

Many people like the look of butterfly chairs, but it’s not a good idea to sit in one if you have poor posture or any problems with flexibility. It’s an especially bad idea for the elderly or overweight to sit in these chairs. When you sit in a butterfly chair, all your weight is pushed towards the centre. This makes it very difficult to move your weight and get up again. Some people like to use butterfly chair cushions, however even cushions are an incomplete solution.

The first butterfly chairs were originally designed by an Argentinian architect, Jorge Ferrari-Hardoy. That’s why butterfly chairs are also sometimes called Hardoy chairs. These chairs first came into vogue in the 1950’s and 1960’s. In the 60’s, this chair became a symbol of modernism in furnishings.
