Christmas ornaments are scarce this year compared to last year. In 2021, I bought Christmas ornaments to sell online. I actually made two orders, and while a few of my selections had sold out at their source before I ordered, most of my choices were available. This year things are different. I started early and called in my order. I planned to buy before the best selections were unavailable. All seemed well, and I requested delivery in July.
When it came time for my order to ship, I called to confirm things were going well. It was disappointing to find many of the Christmas ornaments I had ordered were not yet in. This year there is a problem with shipping. Items are being shipped late, and when they arrive the ships cannot get into port to unload. The ships must wait their turn anchored offshore. To make matters worse, the ships anchored awaiting a place to unload their cargo have so many shipping containers aboard that there is a shortage of empty containers to fill, so the manufacturers cannot even load their products for shipping.
I cancelled some Christmas ornaments and changed my order to include those that were available. This was months after I wanted to have my Christmas ornaments online and selling. The company I buy from was prompt with what they had, and I listed the Christmas ornaments immediately after they arrived.

The candy ornaments are plastic, and I sold out quickly. The gingerbread is claydough, not edible. They are decorative. However, I can envision, and may do something of this concept in the future, of placing them and other similar food themed ornaments on small trees which could be placed in the center of a tray of real candy or cookies, thus marking the treats for a party or to be used when one has visitors. I am thinking near the door with peppermint bark as an example.
blackspanielgallery, Thank you for product lines, pretty pictures and practical information.
In particular, I appreciate the range of colors, what with blue and red and white poinsettia ornaments.
Are the candy and the gingerbread ornaments edible? If not, they look photogenically realistic.
