I received another useful gift. My new Micro-Pedi has made my dry heels smooth again.
Every person as they get older has a hundred things that slow down and I am talking about more than just memory recall. Our skin no longer sluffs or casts off like when our protective layer was younger and full of vitality. A person's heels can callus and build up dry skin that will not naturally come off in small amounts on its own. If the callus edge of the heel is not attended to, it will dry out and possibly crack down to the vital skin causing open wounds that are hard to heal on their own.
The best thing to do is sand the dry skin on the heels so it does not build. I have used a sandpaper emery board made for heels several years now, but you have to keep at it and results were always just okay.
This callus remover works very well for me and I am happy I have one. Now my heels are pleasantly rounded on the sides and back, and the annoying white rim is gone. Both men and women would be happy to use this tool to keep the bottoms of their feet and toes smooth.
