Chatter away, friends!

Exciting Couple of Weeks

I swear that we're on time-share in our house!  I came back from Portugal and everyone else went on holiday.  Now they're back and I'm gearing up to take off again. :)   (I promised myself that I'd never turn down a vacation, after working so very hard here.)

Tomorrow evening I drive off to a friend's house up in Cheshire.  At 9am on Wednesday, I'm picking up two American friends from Leeds airport.  Then it's a grand tour of England and Wales for a week!  I'm driving them to Haworth, Stratford-upon-Avon, , Horsham, London, Swansea, Aberystwyth, Caernafon, Conwy, Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, Bath, Stonehenge and finally Glastonbury.

We go yampy at the Glastonbury Festival, before hanging out in Glastonbury town some more.  Then it's up to Wolverhampton and eventually dropping them off at Birmingham Airport.

In short, you probably won't see me after tomorrow, until July 4th.  By which time I should imagine that my Chore Wars xp will have slid miserably down the hiscores.  But I won't care, because I'll be ridiculously chilled out and exhausted. :)

I would be very grateful if the good folk of Wizzley would keep half an eye on the article comments.  If anyone of you spot people leaving messages on mine, which look like they could do with a swift response, would you mind explaining that I'm away for two weeks please?  Thank you very much in advance.

yours

Jo

PS  Burglars, it's only me going. Rest of our household are staying right here.

Sounds like a fantastic trip, Jo!

I've been to Llmrzlprmfpshloddrkackabshtmafairieglbglbpooplesacramentkruzifixnomoinei before and had a splendid time.

Why don't you post a brief notice on your article right now? "I will answer your comments after my return." Seems to be the easiest, most direct way.  Smile

Thanks both!  And Achim, I would love to hear you pronounce it. :)

As for leaving a note, I've got 470 articles...

Oh. I thought you meant only that one article.

(You pronounce it just like it's written.)

I'll certainly be keeping an eye on the one I just wrote about you, which, by the way, has received a ton of traffic. Have a wonderful trip.

I'm glad to hear it, Ologsinquito.  Thank you for writing such a glowing feature about me in the first place. <3

Have a wonderful time and do make sure to drop in on Caernarfon and Harlech and drop down on to the beautiful Lleyn Peninsula - which is where we used to move to each summer when I was a child Laughing

Say hi to the good folk of Glasto from me. Long time no see though I will be hanging on the red button and online feeds this year - the acoustic stage is going to be more than enough to keep my writer's brain in overdrive all weekend!

Otherwise: ENJOY. Am jealous. I love Stratford-on-Avon and will be back in Wolverhampton with the Revival crew next year, all usual caveats permitting.

I trust articles will be forthcoming following these travels?

And I'm back!

We certainly dropped in on Caernafon, though we only had time to wave in the vicinity of Harlech.  Unfortunately, the only glimpse of the Llyn this time was from the top of the towers in Caernafon Castle.

The Glastonbury Festival was as amazing as ever.

My mind is currently not nearly in gear enough to interact much; and I'm aching from bits I didn't know I had. But much fun was had.

This is roughly our route for those two weeks.

Jo,

So glad you're back and had a good time - rest up now!

Your map reminded me of a vintage tv cartoon map (all over the place!)

Hi Jo,

It's so nice to have you back and I'm happy to hear you had a great time and a well-deserved vacation. Anyway, I have a new question for you. Some time back you had mentioned that you had done something different with your Chitika ads and were seeing better results. What did you do?

Thanks so much for your advice.

Robyn - It felt a bit like one too!

Ologsinquito - I switched off all of the pop-ups and other extras. It's just basic Chitika now.
