With chitika I earned absolutely nothing over the 7 months I was there. When my adsense approval finally came through I switched and have been in advsense over the past 4 months. I am now ending the year 2012 with $5 to my credit. I am thrilled - at this rate it will only take me another 8 years to get the $100 I need for payout.

Sheri, Congratulations. You're doing better than me. After one year on here, I haven't even gotten a payout from anyone. That's why I'm going to put most of my energy into Zazzle from now on. I've started making money there. My mother is going into a nursing home which will free me up to work harder. Happy New Year! Brenda Reeves

I just got a payout from adsense - a whopping 21 cents. I didn't know the minimum was so low.... Lana or LIl aka Ragtimelil RagtimeLil's Store on Weebly

I get one check a year from Adsense - well so far. I'm hoping that it's going to change in 2013... |

Ragtimelil: 12/31/2012 - 04:20 PM Yup as Jerrico says the minimum is $100 or in other currencies such as the GBP it's 60 pounds I guess. But 21 cents? Check out my blog SEO for Dummies

Jerrico_Usher: 12/31/2012 - 06:26 PM I don't know. I wasn't expecting it. But there it was. Maybe they do an end of the year thing? Lana or LIl aka Ragtimelil RagtimeLil's Store on Weebly

From Viglink site. We pay on a net-60 day basis, so the revenue you accrue in May will be paid at the end of July, for example. Payments are made at the end of each month.

Ooh are you talking about Viglink or Adsense? Adsense doesn't payout till you reach the $100 mark. Check out my blog SEO for Dummies

Lana, It is early New Year's Day so my brain is foggy...but you are talking about Viglink - and I believe everyone here is talking about Google Adsense, which is $100 mandatory threshold before payout. When I started with Adsense, I also made a few pennies here and there - and felt it would take eternity to get to $100...but now I get just about $100 every month after a little over a year of really "working" Adsense. The thing I love about it is that it is true passive income. I have 5 blogs...3 are self hosted, 2 are Blogger - and I have them all monetized with Adsense. Two of my blogs with the most traffic are the Adsense earners, plus Wizzley. Once you take the time to set them up on your blogs, that's it! They now make $100 without doing anything...and as traffic grows to Wizzley and my blogs, my Adsense grows, too. So hang in there! Brenda, I finally jumped into Zazzle this fall, right in time for the holidays, and made just over $200 and a volume bonus...I still have no clue really what I am doing, but I am excited about working harder on Zazzle this year, too. I think it has a lot of potential, as long as you stay in very tight niches. For any of you with blogs, be sure to have Adsense AND Zazzle (if you do Zazzle) on your home page. I have a Zazzle widget featuring my products on a sidebar and I truly believe that helped my sales. I didn't expect to do so well right out of the gate, but holiday timing was lucky! Sales have slowed after Xmas...so now I need to work harder. Of course, these things won't do well if your audience isn't interested or there to shop. So my tip/explanation that worked for me is this: if you love skateboarding, do a blog that talks about skateboarding (don't just throw sales products at them...make it interesting, fun!). Then on your homepage you'll have adsense ads about skateboards AND make cute Zazzle products featuring skateboards...so they'll come to your site because it is fun and interesting, and they are a target market for buying your creations or clicking on ads. At least I learned something about Viglink :) I thought they would have a sort of minimum threshold like $10 or something. Never knew they give out pennies too. I haven't tried them out yet. Check out my blog SEO for Dummies

I'm starting to see a monthly payout for viglink (only 1.00 or less but consistent- that's what's important because things always ramp up when they are consistent and you up your game a bit at a time)...

I think Viglink is really good - I've only got it on about 8 pages (using ebay) and I made $176 last year .... I'm not sure if it was April or May that the ebay module started working, so I'm more than happy with that. Now I need to see if I can utilize it on more pages to ramp it up even more. Adsense requires a min of $150AUD dollars for me which is a PITA as the Aussie dollar is higher than the USD! Still at least they pay by direct deposit and I got a lovely deposit last week. I have to work on increasing this though so that I can get back up to monthly payments like I was getting through hubpages before Panda hit. O/T Happy New Year everyone, I've been MIA from here for a while, but I'm home now ...... for a couple of weeks anyway |
