Game of Thrones Board Game Play
As with any board game, Game of Thrones comes with a rule book but as any strategy player will know, experience is key, you need to think ahead and if you like strategy games such as Risk then Game of Thrones 2nd Edition board game has a similar concept.
Each player chooses a great house to play, there is no best house, play is down to how well you can play. Game of thrones board game is a game of skill with just a little luck.
Gameplay consists of ten rounds, each round has three phases: the Westeros Phase, the Planning Phase, and the Action Phase.
The Westeros Phase has three different decks of cards any of which can be used to affect every player in the game. For example a card may be drawn that allows each player to strengthen their stronghold with foot soldiers or the Wildlings may begin an assault on all houses.
The Planning Phase is the most important for strategic play, this is when you plot out your moves in secret. You can assign different orders to your pieces, plan attacks on friends or enemies and so on.
The Action Phase is where your plans (and every other players) are played out and as a result of those plans any battles are fought. When two houses meet in battle each player can secretly choose a leader card to help their side.
After ten rounds the player who holds the most land on the board wins the Iron Throne and is crowned the King of Westeros
